Before committing to a bar through town (Shearer's, Stack etc), I want to do everything humanly possible to try getting tickets through work contacts - we work with the Premier League but now also EFL, so please let that become something 

 

At that point, travel will become a problem. But whatever.

Agree with this the novelty of standing around wears off after an hour, much rather be in, or standing outside a canny boozer with a decent pint. Think it’ll make for an even better night around West End.

 

Most important thing is everyone is bang up for it on the Sunday this time.

The ballot 'results' were announced at the exact same time. My own feeling is that their was no sort of priority between the bands, you were just allowed to put your application in a day earlier. Was completely shoddy in all honesty.

Can’t see them doing Ballot 2 as you’d effectively be putting some members at a disadvantage for being unsuccessful in ballots.

 

Could maybe do it on everyone that’s applied for a cup game.

I think it's a good thing maybe. Last year everyone seemed to put all of their energy into the night before instead of the actual game, hence the abysmal backing from our lot throughout the match.

I know this will probably be laughed at, but what's my best prospect, if any, for getting a ticket given I don't have a season ticket or membership? I don't mind paying above the odds for hospitality or a package of some kind, but don't want to get conned with a fake ticket, and can't afford to sign up for a £3k Wembley membership that I wouldn't use at any other time.

Got all train tickets and hotel sorted after the first leg. All 6 got match tickets last time so should be ok this time....fingers crossed.

I'll be going.  Accommodation and travel was slyly sorted after the first leg result. Guaranteed a ticket this time, which I didn't last time, as one of our lot (who all had tickets last time including my dad, just not me) had booked to go to the Far East over March back in the summer without realising the final was then.

As for ticket, I've put out the feelers across everyone I know for anyone who's not bothering, and my mate who is club wembley too, alongside corporate contacts.  Hoping they include members who's been to cup games into the fray this time round to at least be included in the ballot, but not getting my hopes up. 

 

Absolute worst case, I'll watch it in The Dolphin or something in London

Supporters had planned a repeat of those scenes after Eddie Howe's side secured their place under the Wembley Arch with a two-legged win over Arsenal.

 

Goals from Jacob Murphy and Anthony Gordon at St. James' Park meant the Toon would run out 4-0 winners on aggregate after going into the second leg with a 2-0 lead. However, that return to London will be tinged with disappointment for some after the latest news.

 

Back in 2023, an estimated 50,000 black and white supporters visited the landmark ahead of the game, celebrating the club's achievement and created a real party atmosphere before cleaning up after themselves with a group of fans taking bin liners for empty bin cans. The police also reported there had been no issues from the Newcastle fans at Trafalgar Square prior to the 2-0 defeat to Manchester United.

 

Former Newcastle players, referee Michael Oliver, Sam Fender and his band as well as Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi were among those to make an appearance, albeit the latter of those wore a disguise to avoid detection.

 

Trafalgar Square will be open for six hours on the day of the final, according to the report, with live music and a parade planned for St. Patrick's Day, but there'll be no repeat of that memorable night.
