Away end was brilliant yesterday, absolute top day celebrated with a few pints down the Kings Road after.

Particularly enjoyed a rousing rendition of get into them and fuck them up on repeat.

Chelsea is everything we need to avoid, tourist fans and half and half scarf central.

Big fan of hearing that at the end.

Absolutely mental that teams here are desperate to make things more North American. Yet the MLS try to replicate British/European football culture.

Says a lot about the type of people clubs want in their stadium over the old school, working class lot.

Does anyone think there would be a revival in the atmosphere if in the unlikely scenario we got a new stadium? 10k of the owld radgies waiting to get back in or the same number of tourist fans buffing up their fb content

Sounded pretty dead for a derby where we were playing for pride. Not sure if that was because Sky tend to mute the crowd noise, or if it was just actually quite flat in there.

A thought first half was very good for most, 2nd half tailed off to more frustration but in fairness the performance was so toothless, I'm as critical as anyone for atmosphere but I sitting back 2nd half and inviting pressure after first half seemed to stop momentum.

Derby atmospheres are overrated for me. Its another reason why I never wanted them up or to play them

Would only put them at the standard of a typical game post takeover and none I went to stood out to me as the best atmosphere's of any season. This wasn't on the level of Liverpool or Barcelona this.

The games win lose or draw are almost uniformally dreck which doesn't help. Was a standard derby atmosphere for the circumstances.

No, all that would happen is the people who were "nay" on a new stadium would get to say "told you so" while conveniently discarding the fact our atmospheres have been hit and miss, at best, for at least 25 years anyway

Some people think its related to 'acoustics' and the space above the East Stand letting the noise escape.

Its 100% about the people that go.

Fans respond to performances tbf. If they can see the players are having a go, they will get behind them.

I watched the 1st half in the Strawberry. Walked along to the Junction during the 2nd half so I could get a quick getaway on the bus. From leaving the Strawberry all the way down to the Haymarket all I could hear were the mackems singing. Would have been mistaken for thinking they were the home team.

Acoustics are shite but I agree the people inside are a bigger problem.

Tell you what aswell, obviously you don't want riots, trouble and that but far too many people in the pub after laughing and joking like we've just lost a friendly or something. It's supposed to fucking matter. Me and my lad didn't look at each other for half an hour nevermind start joking on. If they're the folk in the ground no wonder it's flat as a fart

I was LWC and only heard the Mackems when they were winning so that is some pretty weird acoustics. That said our fans were shite second half apart from the hard core LWC standing section.

Well aye, obviously it’s the people who go to games who create the atmosphere but the acoustics at SJP are fucking awful and that can’t be denied.

You can hear L7 more clearly from outside the south end of the ground than when you’re actually in the south end of the ground for starters.

The two things can be mutually exclusive.
