Was getting toxic, loads of people not coming back from bar at ht and large exodus after their first goal. People just waiting for it to go wrong now.

Don’t think the crowd even expect goals tbf. Its bollocks paint by numbers football where if we aren’t forcing the opposition into a mistake or them making a mistake themselves we don’t threaten their goal mouth. It’s fucking garbage and reflects in the atmosphere.

Unusually for me I needed a piss at 35 mins so nipped down to the bogs, the amount of blokes stood by the bar scranning chicken dippers and watching it on the tellies took my breath away

Canny fight in the Platinum Club, two older blokes on the stairwell. One of them on the deck being restrained. Some specky bloke offering to give the Polis a statement.

Don't think it would matter to most people. Was thousands of empty seats still at 50 minutes against the mackems

Yep. It was about to turn first half when they almost scored a second.

My biggest fear is it turning nasty for Howe and it’s bubbling imo. Last few home games I can feel it coming.

When I think back to that game when Pardew couldn’t leave the dug out (Cardiff?) and some other toxic atmospheres, Howe doesn’t deserve that at all.

You’re right though, if they’d scored that second goal that fizzed across the 6 yard box, it would’ve got very negative.

"best fans in the world" 😂😂😂😂

Fans behaving like customers which is what the club wants.

People paid big money to watch that shite yesterday, I’d bet the majority leaving early and hanging around the bars half time are season ticket holders as well.

My mate couldn’t go yesterday, he put his ticket up for resale. First time ever it didn’t get sold. The 3 seats next to his belong to someone who lives abroad, his son was there with 2 young kids, they left at HT. The seat to my right had been sold, the next 2 were empty, ST holders who couldn’t sell them. In total, out of 9 seats next to each, 7 were empty for the 2nd half. Really great view seats in The Milburn.

As for the atmosphere, fans started off full of support for Eddie and the team but, the player performances drive that enthusiasm down.

Yeah, a few empty seats at the back of Block T in the Gallowgate yesterday.

These 250 STs might go to Priority 2 at this rate

I was on the border where the standing corner becomes the seated Gallowgate and the couple of standing spots next to me were empty.

I got my ticket on Friday night and those spots weren’t available to buy so they either went up for sale y’day and didn’t sell, or the people just didn’t turn up.

We were in that section under the telly and directly below the away fans. Loads of empties.

Sat with a load of Ajax fans who'd come over for a blast and to watch Sven. The fools 😂

Mate who was in the Leazes reckons it was grim in there. No atmosphere at all and fans starting to turn on Howe and definitely certain players.

Said it once and I'll say it again if you want to charge absolutely top whack for tickets, which is what they now do, with more huge rises in place for next season, the responsibility to get a good football team that's actually worth watching increases massively. You can't charge top dollar and then serve up rubbish week in week out.

The lap of honour, or lap of appreciation as they now call it, after the final home game is going to be a bit awkward I think. Can't see many stopping back for it.

Ah the glory seekers can't be arsed anymore now that we're not doing very well. Never seen that coming.

I wonder what the members demand is like for tickets as well lately. I'd imagine quite a few of them will have suddenly found a reason as to why they can't apply anymore, coincidentally, just as we're playing shite.

They'll be the first to complain next time we have an upturn in form and they can't get a ticket though...

“Closed shop”

This is why the 80 thousand seater people were wanting should never, ever happen.

At the same time, if you had plans that were cancelled and could now go to the match yesterday morning, would the thought of paying 50/60 quid a ticket appeal?

The prices are scandalous now, and will be worse next season.

I got offered a ticket for the West Ham game the other day. £55 in the Gallowgate so I'm assuming the East Stand will be upwards of £65 [emoji38]

You'd have to be off your rocker to be paying out that sort of coin to sit through 90+ minutes of turgid shite let's be honest here.

Absolutely no question about the pricing and people have more important things in life than paying for football. My point is though, these "reasons" only ever surface just by complete coincidence, when we're playing shite and then magically disappear when we're playing alright.

There was a strange mix of applause and boos in the Gallowgate for the ‘lap of honour’. Bruno and a couple others hung back a bit and he got a song and applause after the others had passed.

Don’t disagree at all.
