Yankuba Minteh (now playing for Brighton & Hove Albion)

Recommended Posts

Fast, strong, eye for a goal, hard working. Apparently needs to work a bit on his positioning/off the ball work within the Feyenoord managers system which is why he isn't starting regularly every game but definitely seems like a type of player Howe could mould into something great within his own system.

Got to be featuring at least as an impact sub and rotation option next season you'd think. Look forward to seeing him in pre-season.

Almiron and Murphy out, Minteh and a purple in.

Nah, give him a second season with Feynoord. He’s not a first pick in the Dutch league (no offence ?? NUFC fans) PL is a few steps above that.

Newcastle are reluctant to loan Yankuba Minteh to Feyenoord and would prefer that he is tested in a different environment. However, they may accept the loan offer if it includes a substantial loan fee and sensible future fee.

Sell Almiron and Murphy, sign a RW and keep Minteh as cover.

I would buy a RW and have him compete with Gordon (Murphy) and loan Minteh for another year

If Howe persists with the 3 then I think we are better served with either Barnes, Joes and Anderson competing for the left sided slots - I think 2 out and out wingers leaves the midfield exposed

Where’s that from?

If that’s the case send him to a better league but he’s not ready for PL yet.

He still has developing to do.

As tempting as it might be to keep him for next season I think long term another loan stint would do him wonders.

Though, I guess a lot depends on what we do with the RW situation in the summer.

I'd like us to sell Miggy, sign a RW and keep Murphy as the back up, let Minteh have another season on loan and then in 2025 keep him around to challenge for a starting spot.

 sorry, it's not from anywhere based on reality. That's the message you always get on Football Manager when you try and get a player back for a second season on loan.

Yeah I totally agree with this:

Barnes - Gordon - RW are your first choice options

Then as back up - Big Joe - Willock - Anderson and J Murphy - that’s plenty

Said it in the Big Joe thread we should buy Ederson for our midfield - he’s literally perfect for how we play
