Turnbull2000
Can't see our transfer activity these past 12 months giving much encouragement to whatever quality we have left. Could perfectly understand if Bruno, Hall and Tino all want out this summer too. Miley will just stick around out of loyalty.

Big Geordie
If we can get £70-80million for him - I would sell, as long as it was reinvested in another young, hungry player or two. Perhaps a total squad refresh is what's needed - again, Tonali not looked the player he had been prior to the Carling Cup win. Said it before, but the Isak business seems to have upset the applecart somewhat over the last year.

So far looks like the club are going to get significant money for two players who have been wildly inconsistent for over a year now, and whose commitment has been questioned for a while now. These were supposed to be two of the clubs top players and so is it any surprise the team has struggled so much of late? Get them out I say. The really bad sign is if you see Bruno start pushing to leave. So far it's been guys that have folded when things got difficult and these sorts aren't going to take the club anywhere. Was just about to post this but couldnt find a nice way to phrase it. He has a young kid and recently married her if she doesnt like the lifestyle up here then I can see this as a big motivator, personally think London is a shit hole and never liked it but I dont have 150k+ a week to spend on my lifestyle. Selling isn't the solution, is just another story pushed by the cartel clubs that player trading is how non-cartel clubs can supposedly spend money and compete, when really it's them saying we'll buy your players that do well and then we will also likely sign the players you would look to replace them with as we can spend multiples of what you can. PIF need to invest to break into the top group or make it clear this is our limit and they are happy with that. It’s not a story pushed by the ‘cartel’ - it’s mathematics. PIF can’t invest directly, haven’t done owt to date with the ground and training ground, and apparently haven’t went down the route of ‘finding’ sponsors this time. We don’t have any financial headroom, we’re amortised and salaried to the gills, we need to sell big money players to free us up again. Too many viewed last summer as a bit of a hiccup - but the way amortisation and salaries work means you’re fucked by flops being on the books. That plus a disastrous league campaign has choked us of funds.

Novocastrian
If we didn’t already know it we’ve firmly been put back in our box by the ESL6. Even the runt of the litter is capable of taking our best players.

Unless they have realised they need to change tact based on recent seasons I can see them low balling us and hoping he pushes for the move or someone else comes in off the back of a formal offer to drive up the price. Miggys First Goal
Time to accept we are firmly in the stepping stone club category now. We're never going to be allowed to challenge for the top, so let's stop this 2030 nonsense and just accept we are part of the larger middle group of clubs in the PL. The reality is we cant get to where we need to be without selling players, we would ideally sell the ones getting on in age or to extract maximum value and be in small numbers at a time of our control. However it just seems that we have resigned to the fact that all players have their price and they are needed to be sold to drive squad development. As I said earlier the sale in of itself even the optics I don't care about its what we do with the money another summer like last year of flops and more big sales will be needed on players we dont want to lose but will have to part with to help "fix things". I dont know enough but the club dynamics but looking here they do buy often but dont spend big on one player: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tottenham-hotspur/transferrekorde/verein/148 I still just see them thinking if they offer 65/70m and the player is keen they will get it done, may come down to other offers or how much he kicks up a fuss to make it happen. Ideally we get what we want (whatever that fee actually is).
