I don't know anymore mate. I'm down a rabbit hole of hate because of Sandro fucking Tonali. 😄

He lives on the same road as wor kid in Sheffield and she plays golf with their lass. I was always too shy to be introduced in the pub then one night we got talking and he was absolutely lovely. He confirmed that he isn’t a mackem.

If we get anywhere near £100 million for him we'd be stupid to say no.

As long as we have a replacement(s) lined up, its a good deal for us if he's adamant he wants to leave.

If we're wanting to revamp the squad, getting somewhere around £180 million for Gordon and Tonali is great business considering the pretty below par season they both had.

£100mil would be great business.  We have also got Miley who barely featured in midfield last season - time we learnt from Anderson and look closer to home.

I’m more concerned that we sold Isak, replaced him terribly. Sold Gordon, replacement pending, Tonali another top player needs to come in. Much easier said than done.

Bruno and Hall won’t want to be the last of these top players to go down with a sinking ship.

We had finishe 4th for the first time in almost 20 years.

Spurs are a bigger club than us. Have more resources to take them back to the top 4-6 than we do. And they are seemingly willing to pay Tonali a good amount.

Only due to man-made rules which favour any club that were in a nice position commercially by about 2015.

I mean that is the worry if we have a similar transfer window to last season, as much as Bruno loves us I cant see him sticking around. I think it’s simply a matter of time before Hall departs, he’s destined for the top. Playing second fiddle to Dan burn can’t be very high up his achievement list.

Look, you'd be very surprised to know that Italian fans' preferences for English teams are very different from what you imagine. Obviously I'm talking about my generation (50+)... in the 90s when Man Utd dominated we were much more obsessed with Liverpool, which at the time was rubbish... almost all of the many Italians living in London followed Chelsea (and I'm talking about before Zola, Vialli & co. arrived) or Tottenham, almost no one supported Arsenal.

Me and very few others supported Villa, then there was a small hard core group who adored the Hammers! In the early 80s I remember very well that, at San Siro, we had a large red and black flag with crossed hammers.

Does this have anything to do with some good performances in Europe against Italian teams? (Spurs I mean)

I do feel that Spurs are about to experience what we did last summer. Didn’t we agree terms with both Sesko and Ekitike?

We need to buy our replacement before we sell Tonali, I imagine he picks Arsenal if it comes down to them or Spurs. Then the replacement we want will likely be on Spurs list too.

We’ve heard all this before about valuations. We spend all summer hearing it was £150m for Isak or not for sale then sold him for £125m don’t be surprised if Tonali goes for £80m

Remember when Brighton held that blind bid deal for Caicedo with Liverpool and Chelsea competing? We should do that. Set a minimum and see who blinks.

My only reservation selling to Spurs is us strengthening a team vying for CL spots

Doubt he ever planned to be here long. Come here, get his ban out the way, move on to a bigger club. Jobs a goodun.

Best we can do is maximise the profit.

Or move on to Spurs.

No, they were preferences that often arose from details (in my case the old Villa stadium which I adored, and Gary Shaw) and had nothing to do with how successful the club was; in fact Man Utd were quite hated here.

Even small clubs like Norwich had their own little fan base. Then there were television phenomena like John Fashanu who became incredibly popular thanks to a TV show in which he was mocked for his missed goals... a friend of mine had his shirt, I think he played for Wimbledon at the time.

I'm not too sure. They don't have Levy to hold them back now and have the means to pay similar to the other Cartel Five.
