I wasn't sure at first, but the more I find out about this signing, the more I like it.

Eddie seems to want to create a high-energy, versatile midfield with all rounders rather than specialists, and he fits that pattern. We also seem to zero in on players whose careers have dipped a bit after a promising start, (eg Isak, Gordon) snapping them up while the bigger clubs are focused on those who are currently in the limelight.

Yeah, it all smells right, this.

Who do you think are really "bigger clubs" now?

When I speak or write about things like this I now say . . "other big clubs".

Seems to make more sense!

The "big club" debate is nonsense, but we certainly have a long way to go before we have the same pull as the Champions League regulars.

Nothing is ever totally equal.

I am only talking about the 'choice of words' to use in conversation.

Interview: "What do you think of St James Park"?

Tonali: "Looks incredible, I can't wait to play in the stadium"

Interviewer: "Are you looking forward to your first game at St James Park?"

Fuck sake man 🤣

Ngl they need to upgrade the lad who asks the questions.

Preferably someone who can build a relationship with the lads where they’re excited to do that part of the job with them. A bit like in the F1 when Pinkham interviews the drivers they usually have a good time and get good questions.

Don’t think I’m gonna bother watching it after seeing on here how he’s just read off his questions without blatantly paying much attention to what feedback has been covered. Don’t think I can handle the level of cringe where my head may implode into my body to hide. [emoji38]
