He's superb, there were some sloppy passes but on the whole he was magnificent

I absolutely adore his one touch passes, gets the team into great positions quicker and doesn't give the opposition time to settle

Just felt inevitable after his time out and the way he was supported that we'd get to see the very best of him, the ban could well turn out to be a blessing in disguise

Agree with all of that. Quick one touch passes, accurate longer balls, and moves into spaces on attack. I noticed that today.

Tracks back at full speed too. Seems like a very complete player.

I cant get over just how good he is. Him as the 6, and Bruno pushed up to the 8 is like the missing pieces (RW for cherry on the cake)

Clear upgrade on Longstaff except his short passing. Can be sloppy but he’ll improve under EH.

Lets not mention Tonali and Longstaff in the same sentence going forward.

And to speculate even further, the tranfer may not had happened if it wasn't for the ban.

Felt like when he was playing as an 8, he only had Isak in front of him who could think and play at the same speed as him. He now has Bruno as an option as well and it opens up so many quick attacking opportunities for us. I mention it quite a lot, but his speed of play and thought is so good.

Not 100% but I think it was the West Ham game when a few times things didn't fall into place for him and he looked very very frustrated. Not with himself but with his teammates because it was their fault. Iirc one time it was Murphy, for eg.

I remember thinking, instantly, "that's not good, son" but then reassessing my take into it being a great thing. He didn't get into any gesticulation or drama, just had pain in his face 😂

I'm hoping, as leader and midfield General, he's had words. Certainly seems to be gelling well now.

He is such an elegant and classy player and makes it look so easy. I can't remember ever having a player like that for us.

I know @Milanista (still gutted he no longer posts here) use to say he is more Gattuso than Pirlo. For me, I'm edging more towards Pirlo but there's an argument of both players.

On the ball - Pirlo

Off the ball - Gattuso

His mobility and athleticism at a 6 is different level to Bruno. I still feel there is a little “clash” between the 2 as Bruno sees himself as a 6.

If and when they click and become comfortable in the system, we’ll have a midfield to be reckoned with.

Add a top RW option and we’ll cause all kinds of problems.

Bruno has said multiple times that he prefers being an 8, but he can play as a 6 when the manager needs him to. Pretty sure he enjoys being able to create goals for us.

Loses the ball too much for the Pirlo comparison.

He’s his own unique player and I’m glad we are getting the best out of him now.

Love the guy. Elegant as fuck with a warrior mentality. Proper Italian Midfielder and he's ours.

We are a world class right winger and a fast centre halve away from being a serious force.

Agreed, but also include a top GK that is comfortable with the ball
