Cracking read that. Love a redemption arc. Sandro and Big Joe both under different circumstances but showing true character and determination to pull through dark times and come out the other side roaring.

And to think some were calling for Mourinho- honestly man. Eddie is just a class act.

I've been mulling this over for some time now, but I'm pretty sure Sandro is going down as my favorite Newcastle player ever. We've just not had a player like him for as long as I can think. When younger I always favoured attacking players like Cole, Beardsley, Ginola etc but this guy is just pure class from deep in midfield. Just in awe at how he goes through a game.

It's his mentality and how he drives those around him that have impressed me most of all. He's a leader, and more importantly, he's a winner.

bad game. Not good on the ball and was surprisingly slow to his press and tackles. Hopefully a one off because we'll need him to stand any chance on Wednesday.

I thought he was comfortably the best of the three, but that isn't a huge statement.

100% was, head and shoulders above Bruno and Joe and he wasn’t anywhere near his best.

That shot aside, which would've been one of the best goals seen at SJP for years, he was as poor as he's been all season.

Nobody lost the ball more than he did, and it was his shite pass that set them away for the equaliser. Could've done better to stick with Jimenez in the box at the end of the counter, an' all, he just got shrugged off.

Just now, CPL said:

Was he man marking Odegaard out of possession?

From the post-match it sounds like most players had a man they were told to press. Bruno mentioned being told to focus on Partey and Schar would go for Rice. So probably.
