People didn't think Rice was technically up to it at that level when they signed him and look at him now. Tonali has been poor this season with the ball but it wasn't so much of an issue last season, which speaks to a wider issue with the side imo. Andy Posted February 2 Share Posted February 2 Tonali has tremendous athletic attributes but if he pushes for a move and we replaced him with a disciplined, press-resistant DM, I wouldn't be too perturbed. He isn't really great in that "6" role as he's literally all over the pitch, chasing down their defenders, their keeper, leaving huge gaps that nobody bothers to fill.
