He said no war chest meaning we're not going to just go out and spend £200m without selling anyone. But in my opinion, and reading between the lines, he very much expects a busy summer, but it'll hinge on someone significant leaving.

I’d be bothered if FFP wasn’t such a live concern, or other clubs were chucking cash around while we couldn’t. As it stands though the entire window has been a non-event. Might as well give Jim White the Wednesday off.

More like clubs outside the "Top 6" developing players to be sold to "Top 6"

I can't really understand a 1 out CM in, when it's Wilson/Miggy going out. 

 

Its not paid off gambling not getting a 3rd striker in the summer, now joelinton isn't even available to cover if Isaks injured. If Wilson got sold we would still need a CM but also another striker. 

 

While we have a little more cover for Miggy, it's also a losing situation. He is better than Murphy and shifting Gordon/Barnes there isn't great. All assuming those three stay fit. 

 

Just a hugely frustrating window so far.
