NUFC Transfer Rumours

He's never played more than 26 league games in a PL season like. Woeful injury record.

I don't mind Dummett as a 4th or 5th choice CB, we're not going to do much better unless we start eating into the FFP / PSR bollocks and there's other positions we need to be looking at before worrying about who our absolute worst case scenario centre back is. Still reckon a quality right winger transforms us more than anything else. And I'll  still bang the Raphina drum. He's absolute quality.

Back up GK, new CB, new RW are the minimum requirement, especially if Miggy is out for a couple of months.

on top of that, a new DM who knows how to protect the back four and a new striker to replace Wilson.

I like Gordon on the right so maybe a new left wing.

What happened to Alex Murphy? He looked promising in pre season.

A new CB and right forward needs to be our priority.

Honestly, given the circumstances I’d rather give the likes of Murphy or Heffernan a go than rehashing Dummett for another season.

I know he fucked up the other week v Brentford but I like him. Very good age, has experience in the PL playing in cannon fodder and sides competing at the top. Would love him here.

Better than all our other options behind Pope.

He won't come here to be on the bench, he probably could start for a number of other premier league sides.

Due to budget can't see us spending large on GK, I think we roll with Pope and get a backup GK in

I agree, would seem odd to swap back up gig for another, unless we rate him higher than Pope. I reckon they’re about neck and neck, altho rambo better with feet. Perhaps they may go horses for courses?

Ever since that podcast episode where he said he can’t concentrate for 90 minutes I can’t get behind it

Better options out there

He wouldn't come here to be number 2 and whilst he's better with his feet than Pope I don't see him as a significant upgrade that justifies the fee Arsenal would want for him.

Ramsdale has a great fitness record, if the medical team think Pope’s injury will be a recurring one I can see us getting him. Though it’s probably better to ask a magic 8 ball than our medical team.

He was number 1 for a team that finished 5th and 2nd. Sweeper keeper, good with his feet, good shot stopper. Think he'd transform us tbh. If we want to switch from a high pressing team to one that keeps the ball a bit better then that starts with being comfortable playing out from the keeper.

My transfer priorities would be:

1. CB - critical

2. ST/CF - critical

3. RW - not highest priority, Gordon can play on right, Minteh could come back, next window if funds don’t allow

4. CDM - with everyone fit we will have a lot of MF options, I’d like a specialist defensive player but we need to strengthen elsewhere first

Depends on whether we get europe next season as well. If we don't I think we could live without another striker or midfielder. CB and RW is a must though.

With Ramsdale, I wonder if there’s scope for that to be a loan with option to buy (that’s triggered easily)? Arsenal get guaranteed fee, we get to delay it for FFP books, but also added incentive for Arsenal, he can play against their challengers but not themselves.

If Arsenal are not in a rush to get FFP fund this summer coming, it could be an option that makes him more interesting.

The man has said that he has difficulties concentrating for 45 minutes, let alone 90. Not a great thing to say as a goalie
