Kossounou Any good? Was he not mostly behind Tapsoba and Tah (who has went to Bayern?) last season?

Having followed Bonniface at Leverkusen last season I got to see a fair bit of them.

They had a really great set of centre backs that played their 3 at the back system.

Kossonou and Hincapie are younger, and tended to come in and out for their more experienced ones, but both are really talented.

Kossonou is probably the best athlete of all their centre backs as he is very very quick.

Against very physical strikers can sometimes struggle a bit. In the AFCON final, I remember Osimhen gave him some problems in that regard. And so will have to continue to improve in that area.

Think people will love his pace especially. And he's a good defender in general and good on the ball. Just not as far along as Tapsoba is, and not as effortless and cool a customer.

If we are in for him would be a good signing IMO.

Don't know how reliable kicker.de is but was having a read around and they wrote this yesterday about Tapsoba:

"The transfer fee proposed by the Saudi Arabian clubs for Tapsoba (25, contract until 2028) would have to be well over the 50 million euro mark to have even a rudimentary chance of success. Tapsoba's fixed transfer fee is a whopping 95 million euros.

"If Bayer were to accept an offer of more than 50 million euros, the transfer balance so far this summer, which is at a minus of around 27 million euros, would suddenly become positive."

Saudi clubs here refers to clubs in Saudi who were apparently interested. But 50m EUR minimum seems like a fair starting point for him.

Very strong decent in the air but prone to silly errors. The suggestion is his concentration levels aren’t the best. Can fill in at Right Back .

The story is that he is second in your list of CB targets and that if you go for him you will be buying one of him and Madueke the other would be on a season long loan with an obligation akin to the Hall deal. The numbers I hear are both circa £40 million each

Are you a Chelsea supporter?

Then send him on loan to us for the season. Sorted.

I don't care how good Disasi is or isn't, I'm vehemently against us supporting Chelsea's business model.

Unless we can buy one of their players for less than they paid, we should look elsewhere. What they're doing needs to be made to fail.

This isn't smart at all.

Chelsea have for a while now made a habit of giving really good players away.

We should absolutely continue to take advantage of that.

It doesn't appear they are bringing in any established decent players, or any kind of decent manager, and so it doesn't look like they are going to benefit anyway.

They've spent a billion and look completely lost. If anything we should continue to facilitate exactly what they are currently doing.

Exactly Chelsea will run out of players to sell with this model they are currently using so we may as well try to benefit our squad where possible rather than a player we’d have otherwise been interested in going elsewhere

Yes.
Made no secret from day one of posting on here.

Which clubs have had a concrete interest in Madueke in this window? And what’s the general feeling among the Chelsea fans at the prospect of him leaving?
