With our fifth choice Krafth starting premier league games 2 games into the season its hard to see great progress this year. Hopefully fewer games and a potentially very good squad without injuries can prove this transfergamble wrong. Atleast beat spurs for starters! The rules that were forced through to stunt our growth are working perfectly but we will overcome these, it will just take longer than first thought. The failure to strengthen looks to have been of our own volition, we made the Guehi bids so the money was there but we elected to not spend it. It's a conscious decision, not limited by PSR, this is our decision to not invest when we could have. And now the teams we're trying to overhaul have strengthened and the pack has moved on while we've chosen to stand still. It's now Howe who needs to pull a rabbit out of the bag and catch the teams we were already behind despite them improving. Don't buy into this Howes being stubborness with only wanting players with Premier League experience... considering his first transfer window we were all over Hugo Etikeke, signed Bruno G and desperate for Diego Carlos and Sven Botman. Equally, we got rinsed in our Minteh and Anderson dealings.
