Average winger who would do nothing but take up wages. We need players to take us upward.

Heard that about Mbeumo not too long ago on here.

When I see what both Mbeumo and Wissa at Brentford are able to do in the Prem, it's hard to envisage Malen not being a major threat.

Very similar sort of profile.

I think all he really does is score goals from wide. And that's like ten a penny in Germany. His defensive and possession stats are fucking woeful.

Yeah, Malen is more of a wide forward. He would essentially provide the pace and runs in behind Murphy currently does, but he is a significantly better dribbler and finisher. He also gets to the byline for cutbacks more. He is also better technically all around.

I haven't paid enough attention to his work rate, so can't really argue on that.

Possession wise his numbers are better than the likes of Mbeumo, Semenyo and Elanga.

McAtee would be a very good signing!

Looked good today, albeit against weak opposition.

Heard some Man City supporters saying they think he'll leave once Marmoush comes in, as there'll be too many ahead of him.

Madueke just doesn't seem like and is signing tbh. I'd take him for the right price, but for 50-60, million I'd want someone with a higher ceiling.

Right now I'm not even sure if he's a floor raiser let alone a ceiling raiser.

True maybe, but he wont be 50-60 million player from Chelsea already on high wages.

Isn’t it well known that a lot of Chelsea’s players aren’t on particularly high wages but on more performance-based heavy contracts?

Probably still more per week than most of the bros here but not like astronomical wages?

If it’s true, then these players are fools for ever going there. Especially the ones on eight year contracts.

Really? They are guaranteed for 8yrs, they can Alan Smith it if needs be and if any bonuses are generous, why not ? Who knows, for some it just be a job.

Just a job for most of these dudes I imagine. And they sign to be guaranteed like a hundo grand a week for eight years. Could be way worse.

We’re more than capable of buying this month. We can “afford” to lose up to about 80m and still be within a PSR acceptable loss.

Whether or not we do is a different question.

They won’t be getting the bonuses, if they’re not playing.

I don’t think you’re fully up to speed on the new PSR rules, especially the ones that apply to competing in Uefa competitions. It’s not the 105m allowable losses that is the problem, it’s our wages to turnover ratio.
