I think Osula was bought as a 3rd forward who would have a year to develop behind Isak and Wilson. However due to Wilson always being injured, he is the 2nd striker but is not developed enough for Howe to be given meaningful minutes to, hence why Gordon is preferred in that role. I think the next CF we bring will be young but more experienced than Osula. I’m a bit surprised at the lack or (reported) signings for the academy though I must say. I imagined that might have been a priority considering the previous point and the fact that building up the academy is critical to any future success we may have.
