It's incredibly hyperbolic, based on the absolute worst case scenario.

He said we were in a fantastic position but he’s worried. Nowt wrong with that.

He also said the season could fizzle out AND we could lose our best players AND next season could be a write off.

Sure it's not impossible, but it seems like a slippery slope of worry. There's also loads of other scenarios that could play out, positive and negative.

The Notts County takeover was a massive fraud by a big fat conman in ridiculous trousers

Thought that photo might have been a new right winger for a second.

One scenario that could play out is that the asteroid that’s heading close to Earth might actually hit us and blow the entire planet to smithereens

It'd definitely hold off just long off for us to lose the League Cup final to Liverpool.

To be fair, regardless of how this season goes, I wouldn't be shocked to see one of the crown jewels leave in the summer to persue bigger things and/or help us fund a rebuild, but I doubt it'll be more than one and it wouldn't follow that next season is an automatic write off.

More likely it’d slam into Wembley stadium when we’re winning the league cup final 2-0 and there’s only 10 seconds left on the ref’s watch

Here's hoping.

Anything so we don't have to have people keep asking why we can't spend the Guehi money, or why we can't do loans.

I feel like this is going to happen too.

If we weren't in breach after Christmas when no other EPL team was and we have gained extra income since then, there is no reason we couldn't have done a loan, Mitchell and his team have had since September to line something up.

Gordon for 70m+ wouldn't shock me that much. Bruno seems like he might be here for the full journey and Isak is too expensive for all but a couple of clubs.

I'm sure that makes perfect sense to you. Good luck.

Maybe no players we wanted to loan were available for loan, that would be a reason

If Chelsea selling a hotel they already own to themselves is legitimate then something is seriously wrong

And that's on Howe.

The manager himself has come out and said he isn't keen on loans and the conditions would have to be ideal, as well as it needing to be a player we want long term.

But still the continuous whining and complaints.

Hall was a loan

I’m sure I’ll get pelters. But I wouldn’t be that upset if Gordon were to leave for the right price. Don’t feel as bothered about him as I do Bruno, Isak, Joelinton, Botman and Tonali.

Seems a top pro and a great guy off the field. I just find him one dimensional and actually quite frustrating as a player.

All hypothetical, of course and I’d much rather he stayed along with the rest of them.

That really doesn't conflict with what KaKa posted does it. "the conditions would have to be ideal, as well as it needing to be a player we want long term". We wanted Hall long term and had an obligation to sign him built in.
