I find this attitude mad. This group of lads have given me some of the best moments supporting Newcastle since the SBR days

I'm not denying we need an overhaul but telling them to fuck off and you can't stand them?

Have some respect. They may not be good enough any more but they've run through brick walls for us

Yeah. I’m trying to catch ahold of myself and remember where we are, how quickly we’ve got here and how this group of players have been the most likeable and relatable in my whole time supporting the club.

I go well overboard at times and will probably continue to do so tonight even after typing this out

But I think we just have too many players that we have outgrown. Yet we are unable to upgrade because of PSR. Along with others who should be squad players. Who are having to play every week regardless of form, fitness or age.

The players and Howe don’t deserve a load of abuse.

I know we're in a pretty wretched run of form, but we're two points off a Champions League spot and in a League Cup final.

Sure we might run out of steam simply due to lacking sufficient quality, but I doubt you'll find a more likeable group of Newcastle players for some time.

Unfortunately, that kind of entitlement and disdain towards the players is pretty common in SJP.

Whoever we get in the summer, technical ability and the ability to keep the ball is an absolute must.

I know Howe loves an athlete that can run and press all day long. He seems to prioritise these aspects too highly IMO. We need to move away from this and start targeting players with a bit of vision, intelligence and flair. Less robotic and more flair.

I would love us go out and sign a David Silva type player.

Cherki is the solution but I'm sure Howe will veto this for his perceived lack of energy.

2 assists today, he is genuine flair and unpredictability

Didn’t realise your line of work involved scouting players for Howe?

Howe wants only PL players. So your recruitment is very limited.

Cannot stand most of our squad anymore, even just looking at them.

Would love to keep 4 or 5 and tell the others to fuck off but don't quite think it'll happen.

An overhaul is absolutely essential.

Interestingly Man City fans are raving about Khusanov and say he’s been class after that first dodgy 10 mins against Chelsea.

Our scouts are regularly identifying top talent, just hope we trust them and have a big summer.

Our scouting is good as we get linked often with players who do well elsewhere which is the problem. We don’t have the finances, either a top team comes in like City with Khusanov or we don’t take the risk like Huijsen at Bournemouth as we have to strike gold with each signing.

This has been the most frustrating thing about PSR, the opportunity cost. Imagine we still had some sort of regulation so you can't be free spending like Abramovic or Bohely's Chelsea, but not the unfit-for-purpose PSR which is capped at 2015 level £105m losses, not accounting for the crazy inflation since.

Even just 3-4 players (inc Minteh and Anderson) would make a huge difference to us. We may have more of an appetite for risk - e.g Hujisen, or have enough for Khusanov in Jan. Or even be able to buy Guehi.

4 young first team level players give us energy and that refresh and is a good foundation.

Instead those players are now lost and inaccessible unless we're willing to pay double triple what they cost. Which would cause you to go deeper into PSR deficit. It's so much hard work to actually compete these days, so many things trying to hamstring an ambitious club.

Wonder what Wrexham's owners will do when they make it to the Prem.

This is an Anthony Gordon level head loss.

As Americans, they'll be welcomed with open arms and probably allowed to exploit a few loopholes, as long as they don't upset their fellow American owners at the cartel clubs.

The comment about our scouting finding good talent is very valid. Khusanov and Huijsen were both identified and would've been very good for us considering how old our CB's are.

I just can't wait until we can spend again.  3 new faces and the team will be bouncing again
