NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

Ofcourse we’d be crazy to sell top targets but it might be taken out of our hands to a point if we don’t get a CL spot. There might not be anyone who can afford Isak with 3 years left on his contract but I still think someone will go in for him if we finish outside the top 5. A Europa league place and major signings and he might stay another season.

None are going to play second fiddle to Isak are they?

            Isak  David

Gordon                New RW

         Tonali Bruno

:tobey:

Seriously though, it's a BS rumour, from a lot of what they've said, it points to more niche young buys in the £10m-£20m range, with the ability to be coached and improved.

Watching Delap, Sesko and David according to Hope.

Would only be happy if we signed all three to replace Isak. That is about par for replacing one of the best strikers in the world, for a more rounded strike force with depth.

Delap would be a great Callum Wilson replacement. Isak, not so much.

Yeah, he’d be second fiddle which is why it would be an odd move for me.

With a European competition though, we’d need depth and I’m sure Eddie would be able to sell plenty of game time and opportunities against certain types of teams.

Delap is the type of signing we should be making. The elite won’t go for him because he’s still raw and not finished article, whilst we can take on those players because we’re not expected to challenge for titles.

Think if we’re signing two attackers, then  Delap + RW winger would be ideal. Delap can also play on wing too if needed if we were to move on Barnes this summer.

Gordon - Delap - Sanusi

Isak - Delap - Osula

New RW - Osula - Murphy

Be a bit like Liverpool of recent years where their attackers are all capable of playing through middle and outwide, so at times it’s like playing with three strikers.

Would’ve agreed a few years ago but because of PSR the top teams are thinking no differently to us now. Look at Man City’s last transfer window.

Our window of opportunity was when Ipswich bought him.

We’ll keep Isak for 12 months and David, Sesko and Delap will all end up elsewhere IMO.

It's unlikely we can get any of them anyway. Delap is the most realistic but in order to buy him we either change system or Sell Isak.

Even if we were to change system wed have to neglect other areas of the squad bring him in.

All these comments about Delap sound eerily similar to the comments about Evan Ferguson from the last couple of seasons. Neither good enough for us IMO

I think they are both good personality but I'd also never buy them in this psr era we are in.
