I suspect we'll be in for Mbuemo, its just whether we can offer near his terms I guess. If Man U offer £200k p/w we'll just back off I reckon

For all these are good players, it just feels like Man Utd trying to do what they have done for the past ten years. Chasing names and then overpaying in fees or wages.

I’ve never felt more relaxed and confident going in to a window tbh.

I think we have learnt, and Mitchell is well prepared. Howe said work has been done for weeks. Its nothing like the chaos last summer. The way Howe has gone out in the media in a strong way confirms this.

I don’t think we will be to be honest. Everyone is after him. I think we’ll be playing it smarter. We’ll likely have an unknown or two scouted, with the possibility of getting someone like Kubo from Sociedad who have no European football next year at a more affordable rate.

I can’t see us getting any players in the Premier League unless we are exploiting PSR requirements, or contract clauses.

Or Gittens even. But yes, I think you're probably right. Our targets never seem to be the obvious ones

I get that it's Man U but why go to a club in such a state who'll probably bin the coach in a couple of months. No European football too. It doesn't seem very ambitious at all. Mad that they're still such a pull when they're clearly going through this mental period. Drives me insane.

If he does go there then it's further proof getting CL really doesn't mean all that and not in an entirely negative way either. Feel like you filter out the players solely looking for a payday for them and their agent. As long as we're competing as we have done since Howe arrived we'll be fine.

Agree, 5 at the back with Tino and Hall as attacking wingbacks. sandro, bruno and big joe. Delap and Isak just off him, as he seems to prefer.

I suspect that wouldn’t be the plan at all

We really need a quick transfer market win this week to settle our nerves

Can’t say about this week but It was reported he was meeting the chairman yesterday and reiterated the need to move fast in an interview beforehand. Hopefully we don’t drag transfers out and get things done quick.

I’m sure Mitchell has been talking to agents and they’ll now force the issue about joining after CL football is secured and a finalised list of targets drawn up based on CL qualification.

Man utd cant offer these huge wages anymore. But its still a huge club when it comes to number of fans I guess, i can see that means something to a number of players.

They can. They just have no qualms about sacking the tea lady or dashing a community project in order to facilitate the headroom in wages.

People have been saying this for 2 years now tbf

Feels like no excuse this time, we have made 30m+ in sales and added CL football. Probably more sales to come with Longstaff

Jesus, even a legit journalist calls him Mbuemo. If we signed him, would his thread be called Bryan Mbeumo or Bryan Mbuemo? It’s a real 50/50.
