I don't think it works this way.

 

At the end of the day clubs still need to sell for PSR.

 

The top clubs have always done business with each other despite being competitors.

Keep having to remind myself that even when we were active a few years ago, our first signing wasn't until the 8th then the next one wasn't until the end of June. 

I tell myself it's only been 3 days, but really it's been like 150 or something when Lewis Hall was our last first team signing.

Said this a couple of days ago. While it would be nice to have an understudy keeper, Pope is still top class. Not really as urgent as a RW or CB, or even a striker IMO.

Can’t see either.

 

I know we looked at Franca before he went to Palace, but he’s largely been a total flop so far (maybe not entirely his fault).

 

Wharton would just be prohibitively expensive.

Is Bakayoko still an option? had a slightly poorer season so might get a better deal from PSV if our scouts still like the look of him.

So we are as bad as 17 other clubs then. Honestly I wonder if some people are as hyperbolic with all aspects of their lives? Or is it just towards their football fandom?

Agree with the sentiment, but I often feel that our transfer approach doesn’t necessarily follow priority in terms of position. We are very opportunistic and I think if the right deal for the right keeper is there then it’ll happen regardless of if it’s first or last.
