Followed Ederson for a long time, scouting a player for a number of seasons is usually making sure you get it spot on.

Correct, for the speculation in the last week or so.

 

Ryder seems to have been the first to break it in November.

Isak was broken by some random local journalist in San Sebastian if memory serves, but he was reliable throughout the Tonali transfer

What’s Scalvini pace like? I’m assuming like Botman, where he’s not quick but serviceable by the stride length.

 

Torn on wanting a defender that’s rapid to sweep up counters and one that’s Uber aggressive in the press that stops counters before it happens.

Would rather have pace, allows us to Press much higher and have cover in the back line for balls over the top or diagonals.

In a non-Guehi world, this fits the profile we should be after. Right age, right pedigree, right price. We could actually create a better squad with a couple of signings like this and still go big on the Pedro’s.
