I dont think we can sell isak. I don't see us getting anyone in that is decent. Let alone 2 strikers.   Being a wc year isak has to play so he will have to apologize. He can't afford not playing. He's already pushed it too far. Looking at other top 6 teams. They're getting all the expensive players and you never know if they're gonna be worth the price tag.  It will be make the best of it and see what happens

I’m leaning towards no new striker and as a result Isak stays. He won’t play for a while though so we’ll have to make do with Gordon. I’m sure we’ll try and sign someone but we just keep getting led down garden paths by agents.

I would be happy with Isak and an overpay for either Wissa or Nic Jackson if it guaranteed us getting one of them in.

Transfers are a total mystery to me, why is it so difficult to find out if a player is available and for what price? Why does it take so long to put bids in? A month and a half and Wissa’s availability is a mystery. Is it because all the communication is through agents rather than club to club?

I'd assume a large part is that clubs don't actually want to sell players. It's usually the buying side who are getting what they want, and the selling side being bullied into it, so they'll happily drag their heels until they get a daft price.

Would you tell someone who much you wanted for something if you weren't a particularly willing seller or didn't want to appear as a willing seller ? Its more like "how much do you want for x ?"......"make me an offer".

 

Add in sellers may want to use tge time frame to squeeze the maximum from any sale. There's a lot of bluff and bravado going on.

I don’t think the club will be overly bothered about having no available strikers that the manager has faith in while the AFCON is going on, based on that we didn’t seem that bothered that we didn’t have one for Villa.
