Plenty on here didn't want him

This theme is starting to get boring now. Plenty didn't want Ramsdale either.

I don’t know, if Spurs willing to let him go at a cut price deal like 25/30m, I genuinely think the club will go ahead since he fits in that criteria. That article simply means we have no choice at the moment and need to go for “promising” youngsters.

He's going to be 29 and is coming off an injury filled season where he hasn't played well.

Wer're already stuck with Wissa that is coming off a similar sort of season.

There's no chance Solanke is signed man. If he is then might as well fold the club [emoji38]

I think I just find the opportunity to slag off the club at every opportuinity pretty boring

There's plenty of other stuff to criticise the club about, people making it out that it was obvious we should have signed certain players when at the time most people would have been unhappy with that signing is just being wise after the event imo

Most of the signings last summer were met with either wide spread criticism, bemusement or in the case Woltemade and Wissa (and to a certain extent Elanga, because people were desperate for a signing) mostly relief.

This board was mostly miserable last summer and if they actually were excited about the signings that wouldn't have been the case.

If everyone was happy and excited and then shit on the club now that would be fair enough, but all I'm mainly seeing is people holding the same positions they held in the summer now we have months of evidence.

I was excited to some extent with Woltemade even though I knew very little of him, I just though an exciting young German talent could work out well and in isolation it isn't the the worst season for a player finding his feet in a new country and different set up. I still have hope.

I was excited by Elanga at the time as I thought he would be a massive upgrade on Murphy and there is no real way to dress his signing up, it has been a disaster. He doesn't have the excuse of a new league either. I have no confidence he can come good. Then again I would have said the same over Murphy and Joelinton in the past.

Yep. I wasn't sure about the business at all.

I didn't know that much about Woltemade tbh, but I did think Wissa would be a good short term replacement for Isak to get us through the CL campaign.

With Ramsey, Elanga and Thiaw I trusted Howe's judgement. I don't trust it quite as much now.

Looks like Darwin Nunez is going to reach an agreement to be released on a free from Al-Hilal.

Chronicle has mentioned Newcastle's long standing interest and possibly going for him this summer.

Do we only scout players who perform well against us?  He was OKAY for Liverpool in 23/24 with 11 goals and 8 assists. I'd be open to see if Eddie can get a tune out of him as long as his salary demands aren't ridiculous (they will be).

To be fair we were apparently very keen on him when he was at Benfica and were set to move for him before Liverpool then showed interest and sealed the deal.

He did okay there, but always thought he'd probably have been better off with wingers that looked to get balls to him earlier and also put more crosses into the box sooner. Liverpool still had wingers that got more of the goals that were used to Firmino creating for them.

I don't think his salary demands will be crazy. He's pretty much earned 3-4 times what he was on at Liverpool while he was at Saudi in the last year, and so will likely be prioritising the move that he thinks works best for him and gets him back playing regularly.

Saudi sports seems in tatters. Golf fucked off, snooker fucked off, football players desperate to leave Saudi Arabia and having to nullify contracts. Sports aren’t easy to conquer

Wouldnt be opposed to Nunez, or Nicolas Jackson, at the right price and salary. They have the game to thrive in our system. We have so much work to do, we need to be creative and opportunistic.

27 next month, I'd be looking for a pay day if I was him, but maybe he wants back in the league more than anything.

A PL-experienced mobile striker who is only 26 that we have courted before. And he's quite tall.
Surely we'd be interested?
