If the club do it then of course, being serious, I trust their moves but hope we're a bit more creative than getting a Liverpool cast off at a premium (irrespective of perceived talent). That's hopefully where Mitchell comes in. Fuck the cartel sentiment still holds. I don’t think anyone’s against shopping in other markets, as you say it’s probably becoming, at least partly, a necessity. But it seems to me a mixed approach to where you recruit from is always best in the long run. Quansah has played for England at every single age group and just made the full squad. That’s exactly the type of player profile that Eddie has excelled in taking to the next level.
Sibierski
When the talent ID is stupidly high in English game, why shop elsewhere? Yea dip occasionally in Europe, but majority of deals should be on these players.
KaKa
With all these clubs that have more room to spend and that throw money around more freely, more and more of their young talent will be wanting out as there is no lane for them to get a fair shot in the first team. It's something we should always be looking to exploit, provided the fees make sense and are not outrageous. Especially because Howe has shown time and time again he is so good at bringing these players along and getting them to perform at a high level. And they must see that which makes us a draw for them (those that aren’t just about the money)

TheInfiniteOdyssey
Howe has also demonstrated that besides being a tremendous coach, he can win major trophies. A big factor for attracting talent going forward.

Young and English with some experience , so likely around what we paid for the likes of Gordon and Tino. So around £40 million if I had to hazard a guess. Anything more than that would be a joke. I thought it was quoted 50 + million.

relámpago blanco
We can talk about Eddie progressing players and English talents which he does. The way he handled Hall is a great point and he was the best leftback in the league for me this season but we can't just focus on England as our best players at present are not English. Good n maybe in the top 4/5 along with hall but it's Isak, Bruno and Tonali for me the top 3.

My number 1 signing. This guy is sensational.

Very true, but we paid high end prices for them (well, not really Bruno), and even though they’ve proven more than worthy of those, we can’t really be shopping in that market more than very occasionally. huss9
Eddie mentioned in his presser today that he had been monitoring Tino since his academy days. If he has his sights set on Quansah, then go for it.
