cubaricho Posted yesterday at 20:35 Share Posted yesterday at 20:35 (edited) Looks good in this left side of him and the Joes. I think with Gordon ahead of Hall it leaves too much space for him to have to defend more often than not and his attacking instincts get stifled. Jimburst Posted yesterday at 20:35 Share Posted yesterday at 20:35 Love his ability to find a ball on the break. Fantastic passer.
Pilko Posted yesterday at 20:36 Share Posted yesterday at 20:36 He's a proper player like. Can definitely improve his defensive positioning but technically he's excellent for his age and experience.

Totally agree, two joes infront of him makes a huge difference. Complete change from the last couple of seasons where we look more dangerous down the left rather than the right. 54 Posted yesterday at 20:44 Share Posted yesterday at 20:44 He's obviously young, and he's going to have ups and down, but I can confidently say he's going to be the best left back the world has ever seen.
PauloGeordio Posted yesterday at 20:45 Share Posted yesterday at 20:45 He’s growing in confidence all the time. Good player, with a good range of passing. Enjoying watching him develop.

Sufi Posted yesterday at 21:49 Share Posted yesterday at 21:49 So much potential. If he figures out the positioning and anticipation side of LB he's going to develop into a special player
Yorkie Posted yesterday at 21:52 Share Posted yesterday at 21:52 Impressed by him every time I see him. You can picture him starting to impact games more and more because technically he's very good. Only just 20 so the potential is enormous.

I even think he has a higher ceiling than Tino.

Doctor Zaius Posted yesterday at 22:59 Share Posted yesterday at 22:59 Been really good these last few games. Genuinely didn't see it coming but I think he's looking pretty solid.

He won’t be a better one to one defender than Tino, but forward wise he’s got high potential.
AyeDubbleYoo Posted yesterday at 23:00 Share Posted yesterday at 23:00 It's not often I'm right about something in football, but I knew this lad was class. Could end up being one of our best ever signings.
buzza Posted yesterday at 23:04 Share Posted yesterday at 23:04 Was quite worried about his defending at first, but he certainly has developed with the games he has played. Well done that lad!
80 Posted yesterday at 23:06 Share Posted yesterday at 23:06 Evolving into my favourite player. He's got oomph.
CPL
Thought I would give this thread a morning bump. He has probably been our best player over the last few games. Growing confidence with every match. I will look forward to seeing him progress this season.
Gallowgate Toon
He's just a lovely footballer. Touch, passing, shimmies etc.
Jimburst
Still think he gets turned easily and his running intensity when tracking back isn't that impressive. Can definitely tell he's trained as a midfielder with attacking focus.
Sibierski
Showing his talent. Profile of player we should sign more of hopefully. Keep saying it, but there’s so much talent in the young English groups. Actual silly amounts. It’s a premium the market, but the talent is there in an abundance for this crop.

Not even much of a premium for some of them. Delap looks a great deal at £20m. Livramento went to Southampton for £5m. Palmer for £40m is a bargain. Rogers £8m. Watkins £20m. 80
One of the best things about him is he already leads by example. Has bags of confidence, never backs down. Can get him into trouble occasionally, but it bodes incredibly well for him long term.

He's got a decent international chance soon too given the lack of striker options in the England setup.

We’re also in a position where we can offer the pathway to first team (and national team as seen with Gordon / Tino and soon to be Hall). So should be making the most of this in next 18 months, whilst the top sides have their pathways blocked and the talent looks elsewhere. Man Utd got a very good crop ready to come through too with likes of Lacey.
