Arsenal vs. Newcastle United: 24/2/24 @ 20:00 (TNT Sports)

Completely forgot Arsenal was playing CL today. Can only be a good thing. If we can make them run a lot in the first half while conserving our own energy we'll have a great advantage second half fatigue wise.

Ah god, I’d love a spawny 1-0 win for us with a dubious penalty to seal the deal…only so I can watch the endless streams of Arteta falling apart next week on SSN.

I don’t think we’re capable of playing and conserving energy.

But they are a bit thinner without Jesus and Zinchenko, both of whom may annoyingly make it back just in time for us. If they don’t everyone but Havertz played 90 minutes tonight.

If we won it by one goal that made them even madder than the Gordon one at home I’ll be firing some serious pints into me on Saturday night. Probably go on it again Sunday I’ll be that happy.

Zinchenko being injured is one of the reasons they have been inform recently.

I just meant their squad options. Their bench the last few games is pretty uninspiring, though still a far cry from the triple GK, Ritchie, Dummett, Parkinson choices.

I think we'll win 0 - 1.

We will shithouse our way through the game .....arsenal with 2 sent off.....Arteta to combust on the touchline....Tindall with the assist for a Miley goal.

Jobs a good 'un

Don't think anyone can criticise someone for being negative about the game away to Arsenal

Must be our worst record to a team, in our history. With our current complete and utter inability to defend as well.

The last time I thought we'd lose a game was Villa, so we'll see. Would be happy enough with a good showing that doesn't end up like the xGA nightmare at Anfield. Something to boost the confidence a bit rather than the other way around.

It's wild how much a single 0-0 affected them, looking at that record. Absolutely beside themselves that we picked up 1 point in a decade.

That 1-0 win in 2010/11 was Hughton's last win for us. We were 5th after that game. He lost three and drew two in the next five and then was sacked.

Including caretakers, Eddie Howe is our 19th manager since SBR and that 3-1 win at Highbury. Hughton is the only one of those 19 to win there.

In 18 games at the Emirates we've only scored in five of them. Pardew was the manager for three of them and we haven't scored since he left. :pardsbeard:
