Will Osula

Recommended Posts

Big Willie's gonna give some fools a big dicking this year, mark my words. He may be a giant bottle of Capri Sun in human form but he's big, fast, makes runs behind, can beat a man and twat it off either foot. He's this year's Lewis Hall. And if he's not... well then we're rather fucked so I'm choosing to believe in Big Willie.

For all the pelters he gets, Osula has 2 premier league goals for NUFC in 150 minutes on the pitch, less than two entire games. He's mostly been a "run around for 10 minutes at the end" substitute. In the cups, a goal and two assists in 280 minutes. That's quite good for someone "clearly not ready".

We'll get another striker in I guess, or Isak will eat humble pie and play if PIF play hardball, so I doubt the Lewis Hall type opportunity will come for Osula, but he's coming along nicely if, inspite of the dance moves, mad celebrations, and assorted craziness, he remains under the radar as a player.

If we

Get Woltemade

Get another CF like Wissa

Then surely he goes on loan?

There'd be 5 quality options ahead of him, 6 if you include Murphy

He needs a proper season of football to find his level imo

I’d actually be a bit gutted if he left.

Me too, I'd like him to actually just get a bit of a chance. A few games in a row, some proper minutes just to see if he can put those useful talents together.

No, hopefully we'll have over 60 games this season.  Everybody will play their part.

Just looked at transfermarket, he's only played around 2300 minutes in his senior career, which is about 26 full games.... He's 22 years old

He needs proper minutes, he won't  get that here being 6th or 7th choice

He starts tomorrow

Really hope so, this could be his last chance to prove himself against PL opposition from the start. If he doesn't get the nod tomorrow he never will unless we're playing some shit team like Grimsby or the likes in one of the first rounds of the FA or league cup.

I don't think he will go on loan based on the amount of fixtures we will have this year. Howe has mentioned how he has matured and developed over pre-season and with his pace, he will always be a useful option off the bench to stretch the opposition in the final third of the pitch.

He had a dangerously shot blocked vs Villa and obviously scored vs Liverpool. I think there is more to come from him whether he is 2nd or 3rd choice striker or even from the right wing. He just needs to stop giving away silly free kicks and channel his energy better which I am certain Howe will coach into him.
