For Palace it's probably even more important they keep him than the summer, avoiding relegation is the focus for them now and selling one of their best players would only assist to make things more difficult for them. The amount they'd lose from relegation is much more than the difference they'd get between our offer last summer and another offer next summer.

Suppose it depends whether they view being able to reinvest any Guehi fee in other areas of the team gives them a better chance of staying up?

Just not a big fan of the lad.

I think he's really good but his weakness can't be fixed unfortunately, and id prefer if we had two aerially dominant centre halfs as burn isn't going to be around forever and arsenal have shown good set pieces to be very cheap points which is something we also need to capitalise on.

In January ? I don't think that's the play for them super risky. You'd want like for like id you sold your captain and selling Anderson is definitely something which unsettled the whole defence.

I don't think they go down but selling your captain and arguably best player when in a relegation fight feels like a massive gamble.

Think they've got far too much talent but I'd love it if Palace went down. More so than Everton

Their saving grace, same with Everton again, all three promoted sides are so shit, that just getting an average of 1 PPG across the season will see safety. And established prem sides should get that, at worse it’s a 35/36 season, which opens the door for relegation but the newly promoted sides just don’t look like even getting that.

Eze I could see moving in January. Arsenal need a LW IMO, perfect player for them. Even Man City need some more dynamism in attacker, so suits them.

Guehi is stuck there till summer.

They are much less likely to sell Eze than Guehi.

Why, and why?

We have been a fan of opportunistic business. I would say Guehi in January is that

The issue Palace will have which will hold as much an influence as their want to sell or not is that there is only so many times you can lie to a player, they have patently told him a load of bollocks in the summer about getting a bigger move at a later date and giving them a bit more time so they can kick on bla bla bla, they haven’t done that, that makes him gettable.

I cant imagine our opinion will have massively changed on him within a window either more so given he ticks a lot of boxes we like, English, young, can be coached to kick on again, the idea of possibly 3 of England’s 4 often used defenders tied to us for a long time will be pretty appealing I expect.

More of a potential market for Eze to extract maximum value before release clause kicks back in for £68m next summer. They've fucked it with Guehi.

Eze is a 10 not a LW though

They'll have a load of cash with the sales of Anderson and Olise not sure they'll drop there price by much at all.

If they don't drop the price in January it'll drop itself 6 months later when he only has 12 months left on his deal.

Palace might have seriously done themselves over in the summer. If we aren't in there paying over the odds, it's quite likely Liverpool will just wait until they can sign him at the end of his contract. At best they'll pay half of what Parish was looking for. If he doesn't go in January his price will come crashing down in the summer.

They're basically going to sell him at the price they got for Andersen at this point.[emoji38] Still can't understand why they would rather sell Andersen at £35m..

Seems like they’ll probably keep him to help stay up and sell him in the summer but they’ll end up losing a fair chunk of cash from the sale alone (but gain from staying up). Seems a bit odd that Parish didn’t take what we were offering in the summer if that amount was true. I do wonder if we got a sniff that they might sell we might still go back in for him given he’s address that right side CB position. I still think RW is more of a concern.

Really can’t be arsed with another Guehi transfer saga. Just get a decent CB that is either as good or better than what we have and stick the middle finger up at the glass hovel fuckers

Surely it won’t be a saga this time.
