They did win the FA cup. Not sure they would have won without Guehi.

It's a silly comment. They won the fa cup and qualified for Europe and maintained their place on the gravy train.

Massive win for Parish and Palace and vindicates them.

He lost millions on this sale. Proper idiot.

Idk, he's a "top 6" fluffer. He probably agreed to sell Guehi to one of them last summer and to just string us along / talk shit about us in public.

Totally fine with us not getting Guehi. Kinda short for a CB, too religious to wear the rainbow colors and scores own goals for fun

Let’s be honest lads and lasses, the vast majority of the time that’s been wasted on this failed transfer is the billions of millions of hours the N-O transfer nonces have spent pontificating about Guehi in this here thread and the Transfer Rumours thread

There’s an important life lesson to be learnt, once the dust settles and Liverpool have their man

Wonder if Parish will be as awkward as he was last summer or with it being Liverpool will he be bending over and taking it from the cartel

Was nee great loss in the end for us anyway as we won a cup and qualified for the Champions League and we'd not have done much better even if we spent 60m plus on Guehi.

Obviously we need a CB for next season tho

Might be a good idea to go for that Diomande they are looking at as a replacement for Guehi if we are likely to face competition from Liverpool for Guehi's signature.

I've seen absolutely zero evidence to justify Quansah being worth £40m. Looks really indecisive every time I see him play

It makes sense when you look at it as a PSR scam. Both clubs agreed to overpay.

I'm not saying that Guehi would reject Liverpool but is he getting in ahead of van Dijk or Konate? I don't see Slot splitting up his title-winning rearguard straight away. And therefore would Guehi leave Palace to be the #3 for one season?

Konate will almost certainly be off next season though so he could get more games than you think

Skysports said he will only move to Liverpool if hes first choice.

Jarell Quansah for 40 million?

Euros. So just over £30 million.

We got around the same for Minteh.

Why is this such a surprise?

Haven’t checked for a while but isn’t  it much closer to 35 than 30?

People should read up on Diomande, he’s very much an aerial threat who can dribble but very safe basic passer of the ball. Dont think he profiles with what we want to do long term in that position.

Exactly what you want from a central defender [emoji38]

Minteh profiles as one of the best young wingers in Europe. Albeit - Eridivisie.

Quansah doesn’t.  Quansah plays for Liverpool so that’s +£10m

Who would you drop to the bench for him, Burn or Botman?

We'd have the same dilemma here.

been watching Quansah at the under 21 euros. Not good. Poor with the ball and not solid defensively either.

Charlie Cresswell next to him has looked better. Seems he’s off to Como.

I think within the next 3 years Leverkusen make a healthy profit on him, selling him back to a club in the Premier League.

He's very inconsistent at the minute and really just needs regular minutes in the first team, which I imagine he'll get at Leverkusen.

When he got a good run due to Liverpool's injuries the season before last, he flashed a lot of promise. Think he has a really high ceiling if it all comes together.

He's only just turned 22 this year and so plenty time on his side for a centre half.

His data looks really good for a centre back of his age playing in the Premier League.

Not at all surprised Leverkusen were happy to pay what they did.

I'm sure they're confident they'll get that back and more in a few years, especially with him being English and filling that home grown quota for Prem teams.

Are we talking ASM or Lee Ryder dribbling?

... and also, to be perfectly honest, there's something slightly noncey about Marc-spelled-with-a-'c'.

Liverpool rarely sell youngsters that go on to become top players.

Quansah is 22. If they had high hopes for him they would keep him and sell Konate for whatever they could get.

Yeah, I agree, especially since Konate's not signing a new deal and will probably be sold this summer or leave for free next year. Real Madrid sounding him out already.

Avoid Quansah.

Liverpool are in win now mode they are not going to drop Konate for Quansah based on his promise. That would be ridiculous.

They've done the right thing in letting him go, like he wanted, so he could play more.

He's done the right thing in leaving so he can play more now, and quicken his progression as a player.

Leverkusen have taken a good bet on him that I'm pretty certain will pay off for them.

You’re acting like Quansah is 19. Liverpool are in ‘win now mode’ by signing Wirtz and Kerkez who are both younger than Quansah.

If Liverpool thought he could reach the standard, he would be in line to replace Konate when he’s 23.

I do agree that it’s a good move for all parties. Quansah needs regular game time and he’s well off the level at Liverpool and will only play regularly due to injuries. Regular game time should help his stalling development. Leverkusen have a talented player who is unlikely to lose value in a world where Max Kilman is a £50m defender. Liverpool get a good fee.
