I really wanted Zabarnyi but it seems impossible. I guess Scalvini ? Tapsoba? The lad at Brentford maybe? (Not keen on that but hey)

Aye i would have loved Zabarnyi, Scalvini if he stayed fit would be brilliant.

I think we'd be a better move for Guehi's career than Liverpool where I think he struggles to displace the current cb pairing. But I think his heart is set on that move

Konate is deep into doing an Alexander-Arnold and prepping the groundwork for a freebie to Perez’s mercenaries. Liverpool are priming to do the same to Guehi. Only one is the noble club though.

Isn't it mad that clubs are prepared to pay 50-odd million, rather than simply wait a year and get someone on a free?

It's basically saying that they value the player's impact, for a single season, as being worth at least that. Which could only make sense if that one player was going to be the difference between trophy/not, or CL/not.

Craziness.

He’ll be replacing Konate when his contract expires

When you say Free you mean a £20m signing on fee and £10m to his agent? Then higher weekly wages to make up the rest.

If you’re a club in our position though, you often can’t wait until they become free because you know you’ll get blown out the water by clubs offering far bigger wages. So it’s pay the fee now, or miss out.

Which is another reason why PSR is incredibly biased and detrimental to competition

I don't think any club's paying £50m for him like.
