The only thing that makes me happy about this is knowing palace lost out on the money we offered them last year and them fucking up their European place

Aye, I’ll take the tiny scraps of schadenfreude where I can get them

This window feels like a proper concerted effort by the sky 6 to ensure things can never change. Never known anything like it.

It’s certainly shaping up that way. The big six will be so far out of reach in a few years it’ll be silly. I guess PSR is working a treat.

Was speaking to a Brighton fan website guy today for work purposes and he said the chat down is there is that we're bidding for Van Hecke.

That was rumoured by a foreign paper a week ago I think

Let’s see whether Liverpool can break the £450m barrier for spending this summer. That’s a heck of a ceiling.

Never ever forget, PSR simply has to exist to stop teams conducting anti-competitive behaviour by strengthening their squads

Allowing the current league champions to spend £450m strengthening their squad ensures the league remains competitive

As George Orwell so eloquently wrote about the Premier League and their rules:

“Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them”

Van hecke is slow isn't he? Botman is as well.

Not keen on two centre halves who can't run when you play a high line. Even if we drop we have Bruno who is in the race for the slowest living thing. Quick defender should be prioritised over someone good on the ball if you have to choose between the two.

Our most successful season in two decades was built around Schar and Botman anchoring the defence with Dan Burn at left back.

Yeah but we can improve upon that, you saw us Vs balls over the top right? You saw what Watkins did to us right?

You watched those games where our midfield 3 were asked so cover so much ground and we left massive gaping holes all over the shop right?

I'm just asking because I did.

Test palaces resolve and Guehi by placing a bid. Make liverpool act if they really want him, either way we either get a great centreback or we don't and Liverpool will have to pay for a player they were expecting to get for nowt.

Doubtful no? He’s going to see out his contract and then choose his next destination. Chelsea have a buy-back but the player still needs to agree to it, no? Can’t see him going there when he can go to Liverpool next year
