agree with this. If Howe can do to him what he's done to Gordon and Murphy he'll be incredible here. My only issue would be that if the club are insisting on signing these players (Elanga, Mbuemo, Guehi) from league rivals then I really can't be chewed to listen to them twist about PSR.

Exactly how I feel. Sick to the back teeth  of hearing about PSR and then we don't seem to do ourselves any favours by recruiting within the worst value market. There seems to even be minimal media links from players abroad.

If some of the Journos are to be believed, aye.  But you're right though, none of us really know for sure.

But if the internet is to be believed Elanga is on pretty low wages. If we pay £50m for him I'd imagine he ends up in that £100-120k/wk range we like. Mbeumo apparently wanted north of £200k. You're talking about an £8-10m difference per year between the fee and wages, which is a whole other player.

What’s the alternative?

I’m well up for Elanga. I think he’d be a perfect fit for us. £50m seems about £10-15m too high but you’re not getting value for money in the Premier League.

I think Man U are getting good value for money with Cunha and Mbeumo at just over 60m each

Both far better footballers than Elanga for not a lot more money.

That's not taking wages into account I'll admit though
