High Five o
Shocking so far. Will give him time, but not sure why we bought a Gordon replica from Wish.

TheBrownBottle
I feel a bit sorry for the lad - we’ve bought a counterattacking winger to solve a problem which didn’t exist. We struggle to break teams down, and Elanga isn’t the player to offer that.

nufc4eva
Isn't two footed despite him thinking he is, just needs to focus on the basics and head up to see Woltemades moves, if we get it into him it just changes the play completely and I hope we find ways to consistently do it. Then when Wissa back if he ever appears for us can be that bit more direct.

JoeyBartoon
Would have never been signed had we known Isak was leaving. Great personality but tbh how many of the other teams in the top half would he start for?

If we signed him to be Isak’s friend then that’s the daftest reason imaginable to spend £55m We clearly didn’t sign him for Isak, and I don’t see what would have been different with Isak playing
HaydnNUFC
Wasn’t massively convinced about him as a signing, warmed to him as a lad and really want him to do well but when he’s being substituted at half time for Jacob Murphy in October it speaks volumes. Really disappointing for £55m and him being a player we’ve chased for a year.

He's obviously got weapons which can hurt a team, but then so did Adam Traore.
Andy
I feel for him because he just doesn't seem to fit our style of play at all, and he doesn't have the tools to suggest he ever will. As someone else said, he's been brought in to fix a problem we didn't have. You've got to question the profiling on this one. "Is rapid" isn't typically a quality that elite teams look for in their wingers, it's just an added bonus.

Isak creates space with his movement, big Wolts playing style is completely different and is likely harming Elanga performance. Like a more technical player around big wolts is probably better for him Edited October 18, 2025 by JoeyBartoon
