Choosing to cut them some slack.  They’re trying to sign a player who was very good last season from a PL rival who don’t want or need to sell.  Forest will want to feel they have got the upper hand in the deal

If as reported the player wants the move it changes the dynamics of the deal. PIF seem to be slow movers ,like

But we received £62 million for two players that were not really involved with the first eleven. Clever financial fiddling all round. We were not "fucked over" at all.

And paid £20 million for a keeper who has played one part game and yet was bought for €4.9 million. Losing two players Howe didn't want to lose (his words) is not clever financial fiddling. It was caused by poor financial management on our side and was done to stop one of our purples going. Totally disagree, we were fucked over due to total desperation as a result of a points deduction incoming.

You have to involve Isak, Tonali, Guimares into that discussion. So losing Anderson and Minteh actually pales into significance. If you think we paid £20 million for the goalkeeper  then you are easily misled.
