There’s gradations of balditude.  Bobby Charlton, Zidane, Henry, Shearer, Lombardo, Rooney etc etc - all follicly challenged

For some reason Atillo Lombardo is the one that always pops up for me as a bald winger.

Mbuemo is better than Elanga, if he’s at Brentford. Not at Man Utd.

This. Once the big wages start dropping into the bank account and the toxic malaise that’s permeated every facet of the club starts to take effect. . . . . .Well, name me a big money Man United signing that didn’t go backwards?

If I was a Man U fan, the main thing that would bother me is the way in which their good young players - Garnacho and Mainoo in particular, but I suspect Hojland too - have gone backwards over this last season. Mbeumo is a very good player, but he's going to reduce the chances for Diallo.

Ratcliffe's arrival has cast a cloud over the club. He's made a poor choice of manager, who he now feels obliged to stick with.

Garnacho didn't go backwards. He had 21 goal involvements last season. His attitude is the problem not his ability. Mainoo also missed half the season with injury.

Amad is probably the second name on the teamsheet, and his opportunities won't be limited at all. His best performances from us have come from RWB. Unless Cunha or Mbeumo (if he signs) are being considered to play up top, then I'd imagine the vision is for Amad to be the starting RWB as he's miles better there than Dalot/Maz.

Reckon you'll struggle to find any genuine Man United fan who thinks Amorim is a poor choice of manager as well.

Quite a few things in your post have surprised me. From what I've read, Garnacho is on his way out. I'm not sure what you mean by his attitude, but for whatever reason, it doesn't look like Amorim has favoured him, and he is a player with some ability.

On the occasions that I saw Mainoo last season, he wasn't playing that well. Seeing as he was playing in a team that looked very unsure of itself, that's not too surprising.

I don't think I've seen Diallo as a defender. To me, his strengths look better used further forward.

Your final sentence is the one that really took me aback. 15th in the league and no trophies and all the genuine fans think he's good? You're all in de-Nile.

There’s a real, to quote Jamaal Lascelles, “no one gives a fuck” attitude at that club. A fearful malaise has taken hold which has turned into apathy. Man Utd aren’t that bothered about losing anymore. It used to rile them up. They lost and you knew the next team they played were getting a pasting but that’s long gone.

When Mbuemo has been there a few weeks (assuming he signs ‘cause it’s just as likely he stays at Brentford currently), he’ll get sucked into it as well. He’ll turn up, see what he’s fighting against and then take the easy way out by putting in 4/10 performances, maybe show up in the big games, and he’ll pick up his massive massive wage. They’re in a death spiral headed by the complete clown they begged to take them over.

I do get the feeling Garnacho is going to go on and become a very successful player once he is out of Man U.
