FWIW, the geordie journos said similar. Newcastle didnt even make an attempt at him once they heard what wages he wanted. Im not saying he would have chosen us anyway like.

 

It's going to be a significant financial outlay for Man United. Hes a good player though. I'll be interested to see how it works on the field.

I think the assumption is that Man United will get it right at some point, likely with another manager... at which point signing actual quality players like Cunha and Mbeumo will pay dividends.... as opposed to shite players like Sancho and Antony.

 

When you look at the financial outlay on the four players I've mentioned, Cunha and Mbuemo are absolute bargains in comparison.

I won’t use “class”, I would say “effective” or “better fit”.

If I was a Man U fan, the main thing that would bother me is the way in which their good young players - Garnacho and Mainoo in particular, but I suspect Hojland too - have gone backwards over this last season. Mbeumo is a very good player, but he's going to reduce the chances for Diallo. 

 

Ratcliffe's arrival has cast a cloud over the club. He's made a poor choice of manager, who he now feels obliged to stick with.

Garnacho didn't go backwards. He had 21 goal involvements last season. His attitude is the problem not his ability. Mainoo also missed half the season with injury.

 

Amad is probably the second name on the teamsheet, and his opportunities won't be limited at all. His best performances from us have come from RWB. Unless Cunha or Mbeumo (if he signs) are being considered to play up top, then I'd imagine the vision is for Amad to be the starting RWB as he's miles better there than Dalot/Maz.

 

Reckon you'll struggle to find any genuine Man United fan who thinks Amorim is a poor choice of manager as well.

Class in my book is being effective and performing for the team, as opposed to some superficial nonsense from a player with his socks rolled down by his ankles.
