I am not from Newcastle. Can someone tell me if this forum generally a good representation of local Newcastle fans or people in this city? Seems to me lots of people here are quite mean and not inclusive at all. And frankly quite negative towards local journalists

Where are you from?

I think the forum is inclusive but it’s definitely mean. Think it’s very inclusive for an online space but probably above average on the “mean girls” meter

You are very welcome if you're not from Newcastle.

So you mean this forum is mean and non-inclusive or the city in general?

Why is it complicated. PIF can pay ANY fee upfront in full. What details are complicated?

Wouldn't that now count as a shareholder loan, and so subject to commercial rate interest being charged for PSR purposes?

Local journalists are heavily criticised but they have proven to be unreliable over and over again.

Some accuse them of creating clickbait when they don't really have anything new to say.

The amount of insufferable pricks on here is comparable to our match going fanbase, percentage wise :)

I  really don't think paying a team a transfer fee for a player would count as a shareholder loan. You can split it up over a couple of years with installments or just give them the cash immediately.

Forest have asked for a sell on percentage which wasn’t in the initial deal according to Highland Geordie, who seems to get bits of info every now and again

Sneaky.

Could see this being feasible, as we were still a bit short of the money they asked for with the amount of money we had guaranteed.

Provided the percentage isn't crazy, and is based on profits only, they should be able to come to some agreement.

Don’t manure get a percentage of this deal?

shouldn’t Jim ratface be appearing on children in need, saying he knows how they all feel as notts forest are stoping a young kid from living his life and getting a move.

That guys gone right down in my estimation.

It's only a loan if they want it back. There are loads of ways for owners to inject cash into the business without it being a loan as I understand it.

For example, we've often issued extra shares or single shares "worth" tens of millions.

Bollocks to that, you don't let clubs take the piss out of you. They already got away with one last year, when selling us a non entity of a goalkeeper for £20 million after they had paid €4.9 million the year before.

Any money put in by our owners is done via club shares, so no it wouldn't count as a shareholder loan at all

So they could just pump money in like that and we could buy who we want ?
