Joe Hart may actually be one of the best pundits around at the moment, even if he feels a bit dry when talking.

Really impressed with Bellamy's punditry tonight.

From what I seen, albeit brief.. he was decent. Seemed fond of us too.

Agree, especially considering Carragher kept interrupting him, was doing my tits in. Going "Can I just ask you something?" and then prattling on for about two minutes before getting to the question by which point everyone had totally lost the thread of whatever he was saying.

Desperate to get a footballer managers bullshit bingo card chock full of all their wanky buzz phrases. Similar to the consulting one:

I thought the stuff Bellamy was saying about us having coached against us pretty recently was really interesting, he also summed up the difference going from the Championship to Premier League really well.

Whilst his presentation was a bit unpolished, Bellamy was an interesting pundit as he actually says what he thinks.

I enjoyed hearing some of his insights and him talking about his playing career.  I do think he was using the opportunity to push his credentials as a manager but who can blame him.

However, I am unsure how genuine his new found fondness for Newcastle is. If you have read his autobiography he frequently talks disparagingly about Newcastle and a quick YouTube search will find you some videos of him during the Ashley era ridiculously claiming that Newcastle fans think they are a bigger club than Liverpool.

A shame really, as he was an outstanding player for us, in terms of both technical ability, pace and workrate .

Whoever was on second coms on Optus Sports came out with a corker today. After Barnes' second goal he said something to the effect of "He's now adding goals to his game which was always the one element he was missing."

That's pretty much Barnes' USP. How can a professional commentator get it so wrong?
