Came out of Wednesday with momentum, drop two of the thee better performers and loose all momentum. Love Howe, but well and truly messed it up today.

We're generally, all over the place and seem quite complacent when we are making mistakes over and over again.

Tons of chances for us from the outset

Goals conceded against the run of play

We're on top and it only seems like it's going one way

They score a goal that puts a pin in us and they gain confidence 

We make subs that make things so much worse

We completely fall apart at even a basic level

 

That's a truly shocking 2nd half like, really bad. They're nothing to write home about but they played us like a fiddle and we played ourselves. 

 

I can't keep looking at opposition teams create little, take their chances and think of it as just being against the run of play, it's a game plan and it works very well against us.

I said it in the pre match thread, but if the decision was purely based on rotation and not injuries, then for me it sends entirely the wrong message over which game was the priority. Games like this need to be the priority for the manager and the players, 3 points against (and taken from) Brentford is far more valuable than 1 point against Liverpool. 

 

With that said, it's hard to see the performances against the big 6 as anything other than shop window performances at this point.

The goals will come, but it's the defensive side that's the issue. Can't keep conceding goals like we are, being open as we are, being as shit as a defensive unit as we are. Can score 4 away, and still not win. 

 

Proper Bournemouth under Howe stuff this, where it's great fun if you are aiming for 10-17 as a side, but we're not.

I just dont understand how we can go from giving Liverpool a fight, to this dross. What is Howe doing?

Howe needs to change how we play, formation or something. It's terrible to watch and every other team just look quicker and have more space. Movement is pretty terrible and we just keep given the ball away.

 

If he gets a chance in Jan he needs to bin some of them, maybe even sell one of the bigger players and get some more technical nous in there as we can barely kick a ball.

£40m on Barnes

£35m on Livramento

£28m on Hall

£15m on Osula

 

Not counting the Greek fella as that was purely for PSR. But we've been absolutely tragic in the league all season outside of 3 or 4 matches.

First half, you could argue we were unfortunate. More and better chances.

 

Second half though, shocking. As per previous games, Howe has a great skill of making changes when we are behind that make us worse.

The starting line-up was the exact opposite of our problem today, we went to absolute shit when the players everyone thought should be starting came on.
