A few players rested tonight. We've obviously won this enough recently.

Should be a routine victory for Spurs.

Depends on what Spurs show up Froggy.

If its Spursy Spurs you'll be fine.

If not you'll have a game on your hands...

What’s the chances of Botman being fit for the 1st leg? We’re going to have a bit of an issue at CB on the right side?

Doubt they’d risk him. Eddie hinting Kraft might be back though.

As things stand - the draw will be;

Newcastle v Arsenal

Liverpool v Spurs

Powers that be will be wanting an Arsenal v Liverpool final.

That would be our best chances for winning imo. If we are home for the second leg, we can beat any. And Spurs in the final would be a treat.

Would much rather get Liverpool in the semi. Odds of getting beat off them in the final are probably 90%. Would rather just get it out the way.

I’ll never understand the ‘might as well get knocked out now’ attitude.  Fuck that let’s get to a final

I'm not fussed about this draw to be honest. There's not an obvious more difficult draw IMO. You'd probably say Spurs would just about be easier, but that was probably the worst we played against all 3 of them at home this season, and another day could have been a heavy defeat. Plus I haven't looked at the schedule, but Spurs will probably be taking it the most serious of the 3.

There's also no obvious advantage of playing home or away first. You'd usually like to play away first and then have the 2nd leg at home, but if there's no ET then that negates that, although pens would be more beneficial, but in our case, without Bruno and Fab, we could well be 2 or 3-0 down from the away leg and the tie effectively over before they are back, whereas it might be better to lose them for the SJP match and then have them back with a more poised first leg. 2 years ago you had Southampton (who we obviously got) and last year Middlesbrough made the semi final, who most would have liked, but this year, there's not an obvious tie you'd like to get.

Spurs please. They are capable of being so horrific. I want them at home first actually, would usually prefer home leg second but in this instance I think we can do them by three goals in the first game and then keep it solid in the second at their place.
