Ipswich Town vs. Newcastle United: 21/12/24 @ 15:00 (No UK TV)

Recommended Posts

I'm heading down to Cambridge this morning as doing a day there and night over beforehand.

Got to the station to realise I'd bought my ticket for Saturday by mistake. £50 walk on ticket.  A good start to the weekend, hopefully things improve.

At least you realised. Would have felt worse (although not been any financially worse) had you handed to the conductor and they’d pointed it out.

If barriers hadn't been down I'd not have realised. Only when I couldn't get through I realised.

If I'd got very lucky they may have let me off, but also could have been a fine and even more expensive ticket.

Honestly think £50 for a ticket to Cambridge on the day isn’t bad.

Yeah I just bit the bullet because it wasn't murderously bad. If it had been £100+ I'd have bought a single to Manors to get through barriers and hid in the bogs for the Peterborough leg at least

??? It’s the last YouTube video before the footballia link.

Son of a nutcracker. I saw the thumbnail and just thought it was the 0-4 win in the Championship.

Glad to read I’m not the only one that (potentially) does this.

I reckon 90%+ of all Central to Manors (and reverse) are done for that exact purpose. [emoji38]

They're not like. However there was a spell of away fans getting off at central, then going to Heworth to get the metro into town to avoid paying.

I haven't seen that much of Ipswich this season. Do they like to try and keep the ball or are we likely to face a parked bus?

They are down there with their possession stats, bottom 3 in fact..  Used to try and play out from the back all the while and still do build from the back a lot more than us.  But I think they have changed slightly due to the level and Muric being a bit dodgy with his feet at times.  Might get some joy with our press.

They have plenty of pace when they attack, though.  Burns and Hutchinson are fast and direct.  Delap missing up top is good for us.  Hirst is injured and all.  So guessing they might play Broadhead up top or the Iraqi geezer who's name escapes me.  Neither are prem level.  So famous last words......
