We could catch anyone ahead of us except Liverpool. What a tasty way to end the year.

I think we were actually quite comfortable in the second half, I just have toon induced PTSD and can't handle us being ahead.

It's actually pretty jarring, just a routine 0-2 at Old Trafford. Doesn't feel right. But we're proper good at the moment.

Yeah would be great if Chelsea have a wobble and arsenal have some tasty games coming up, get something at spuds and things are looking good in the new year

Don't forget Bruno.

Yeah sure, but not since childhood. I'm sure Schär and Joelinton proper loves the Toon as well, but it's not quite the same when it comes from 'just' playing for us. Clearly means more for the likes of Burn

Just watched the beginning again. Their formation was 5-2-3. They were pressing 3v4 against our backline (3v5 if you count Dubs) they were 2v3 in midfield and either Bruno or Joelinton was in acres of space.. That must be the most defensive and fearful ManU I have ever seen at Old Trafford. Especially against NUFC. I mean, it was soooo easy.

What a result that was almost the ideal away performance, score two early goals and limit the home side from any chances and see it out. That is such a big win for the confidence of the team going into the second half of the season. The second half wasn't vintage, and probably felt more nervy than is actually was, but we played some lovely stuff at times, and deservedly won that game. The way we killed that last 20/30 minutes felt like us from two seasons ago.

Man United though, woof they where horrid.

Aye, 3 of the last 4 wins have been against absolute shite, but we are looking quite like the 22/23 team in the last few weeks.

that 2nd half was a tactical shift in my opinion, and it very nearly backfired. Anthony Gordon twice found himself in a very promising position yet he turned back, aborting the attack. That kind of invitation led to us becoming ragged as fuck in possession, there was a man u fan sat next to me in the pub and he said 'I can't believe you've let us back in here mind'

I'm made up with the win but we should have been out of sight
