Aye they seem quite traumatised at the prospect of facing us, apparently there's stacks of tickets going on their exchange thing. They have real selection problems here, we need to fuck them up early

Go at them like “Monsoon Moon” raining down the pain!

From the fighting cock 😀:

”This match will resemble a big guy having a fight with a really little guy.
The little guy will be swinging away relentlessly, while the big guy stands there, holding the little guy back by his forehead. As soon as the little guy stops swinging, the big guy will knock him out.
And someone will say the little guy was unlucky because he swung a lot of punches.”

Their fans seems very negative about the game, but I don't know... This is the kind of game where Spurs can suddenly look like an elite team. They've done it time and time again in big matches. I have no idea what kind of game to expect tbh.

See they’ve got this as a Cat A game, some of the ticket prices are ridiculous. Has to be aimed at the tourist market.

They’ve definitely got the players to hurt us if we allow them too much space.

Yeah. My worry against Man U was that we’d play the occasion and the club and not the team. I sort of feel the same about this game.

They’re far more dangerous than Man U in attack. But I feel like if we try and impose our game on them and act like the favourites. Then we’ll beat them.

Thinking the same. Spurs have more than enough to hurt us, but they dont have a defence. Not sure if we are in for a goal fest or a tight game. There will be no walk over as some think.

I" bumped into my neighbour earlier and reminded him of our near wager on who will finish higher he just laughed but he is a Barcode fanatic and his son is a ST holder.I asked him why they have suddenly started firing and his one word answer was Tonali he is running the show apparently hence Isaak finding his scoring boots. Having said that I have every confidence Angelos will come up with a plan to negate him"

"If all else fails, see if we can find a betting syndicate to offer Tonali 100/1 on himself to get sent off"

The mans a machine, a joy to watch. Bruno pushed up as the 8 isn't too bad either :indi:

Think this'll be 2-2 as a starting point. They're basically a Kevin Keegan team but with less focus on defence.

Realistically, as with Man U, this game's come at a really good time for us: we're in good form, their form's a bit iffy and pretty much their entire defence is injured, instead of simply AWOL.

But... we're still away and one thing this Spuds team can do very well is attack. I'd probably still make us favourites, mainly due to their injuries, but could easily be 4-3 either way.

Wonder if we'll just do the usual anti-Postecoglu tactic: park the bus. When we get the ball, boot it long over the top. Profit.

Spurs actually have the players to hurt us in attack and at least some semblance of balance in midfield. Man Utd had neither of those things. This won't be as easy and having Schar out doesn't help in transition to try and counter attack them.

If we can contain Maddison and Kulusevski we really should have enough to win. An early goal would be massive.

Ange ball can hurt us. We were poor at home against Spurs, Maddison found too many pockets of space early on.  Need to frustrate him and he’ll likely spit the dummy out.

I am of the view that with Maddison and Palmer and others just like them of you man mark them with Tonali then you nullify their main threats. I think Burn and Hall will have enough to see off Kulesevski's strengths.

Think Maddison has been dropped for the last couple.

Expect to see a shit load of attempts to get in behind them, with a few being successful.

Bruno in the number 8 position must be a scary prospect for them right now.

I'd happily take a draw here tbf. Spurs are the sort of side to get up for a game like this and batter us

Given our recent form I'm confident we can avoid that like but aye, we beat them at home, a draw away wouldn't be terrible.

Two draws and a win from the next three would be just nice. Anything more then we can be excited. :smug:

Yeah Solanke, Son, Johnson and Kulusevski could be a handful and especially with a makeshift CB partnership.

Would be more confident with Tino up against Son, assuming Son starts from the left.

Son has been bad this season. But did give him nightmares last season at their place.

With Schar out. You could argue Trippier’s passing from the back and that right hand side is important. But then again, you could also argue Tino’s defensive qualities and ability to run into the space they will no doubt leave is a better option.
