In games like this we seem to hit the wall, in terms of ideas if not energy. If they made tactical tweaks at half time to change it I wasn't aware but they made us look pedestrian from the off

It's like if we have time to think how to break down teams (like Fulham) we fail...when we don't think and just do (Arsenal) we win.

Suggests we are a side that's plays better on instinct rather than a plan

goal of the season if tonali's had gone in.

Or Schar - both would have been contenders.. Fine margins today.

I was right behind the second goal and that has to be one of the worst walls I have ever seen. You just knew he was going to have a go.

I was at the other end and had no idea how it went in. Assumed it was side netting at first and I was about to do a big wheyyyy at the celebrating Fulham fans

Good run by Muniz across the keeper, got a toe end and nicked it past Dubs.

Your statement is illogical. His mistake directly led to the second goal…

Do you complain when the same mistake goes the other way?  Nope.

We only had ourselves to blame for today.

It was nothing about fine margins.  We were shite.

Agreed - but we were inches away from nicking a win.  I didn't think we deserved to loose.

We were absolutely awful in the 2nd half, from kick off to final whistle. Joelinton and Bruno struggle against quick and mobile midfielders. We don’t have the option/ squad depth to adapt to  this. Willock has mobility but isn’t dynamic, I’d love to have MGW, we’d have won today with him and Tonali as the pivot. We’re very restricted in how we play.

I mean if it benefited us obviously I’d be happy because I support Newcastle, but I’d be able to say that we benefited from a mistake. There’s not really a debate, it was a foul

If the players looked leggy like today, especially after such a long run with the same starting eleven, Howe should make some changes

But it’s Howe’s style, we know that.

Me too, glaringly obvious, proper school boy stuff

That and the vast majority of out back-up players arent at the same level. I think that's obvious to most.

Just back home. Enjoyed my day up until the second half.

A lot to unpack but our home form against the less glamorous teams is becoming a concern to say the least.

Another game where we looked a bit clueless at times and lost control for large spells. Without ever really getting up a head of steam. Did Leno have a save to make?

I know Willock missed that sitter and Isak is unlucky with his off the bar. But they looked more dangerous and the better side for good chunks of that match.
