patrone Posted yesterday at 14:17 Share Posted yesterday at 14:17 In a flap now about wether to apply as a pair, as I always do on the ballots, or as two separate 🤷 We are 4 wins from 11 ballots this season applying as a pair.

If it’s as random as the club make out, it should have absolutely no bearing. Impossible to determine without knowing the inner workings of the ballot though. mattypnufc Posted yesterday at 14:28 Share Posted yesterday at 14:28 Given my absolutely abysmal record of ballots this season and the last, I’m expecting absolutely precisely fuck all.

SteV Posted yesterday at 16:12 Share Posted yesterday at 16:12 Anyone know how it’s gonna work if a parent and child are successful in Pot 6 but there’s not two left together when they come to select the seats?
Superior Acuña Posted yesterday at 16:14 Share Posted yesterday at 16:14 Hoping confusion and hopelessness drive down the applicants a little bit. Give me something.

Well it might not be quite as big a number as people expect. You had to apply for at least one of the cup games, and there will be a lot of members who can’t do midweek games for whatever reason. Obviously still huge numbers compared to available tickets unfortunately.

Groundhog63
Had no real expectations of there even being a pot6 so Monday's ballot has come as a surprise. In typical human fashion we're prepared to hoy my family under the bus and cancel our Cup Final Party. Fuck it, I'm not that keen in me Dad anyway 😂 I'm joking in a way because we've varnigh zero chance of the pair. 1 success this season. Game 1, as it happens. I'm not joking in another way, in that I've looked up campsites for the campervan near....ish. Found a belter. If we only get one ticket it'll be available somehow 👍 I'll not leave her here with the Brady bunch.

I already had my Charity Shield ticket via my ST (at that point my dad didn’t go anymore - couldn’t afford an adult ST. So I used to go with my uncle, who did have one). My dad wanted to go, so when the tickets went on general sale, I offered to go and queue at SJP for a ticket for him. He dropped me off on his way to work just before 5am (he worked shifts at Parsons), where I queued for about four hours (I was nowhere near the front, btw - people had started queueing the afternoon before!). Eventually I got to the front, and bought him a ticket behind the goal. When he got home from work that day, I thought I’d get a bit of praise for getting him a ticket. His response? ‘It’s a bit far from the pitch - couldn’t you have got me a better seat?’ So my advice - be ruthless

He's alright really 😂 He does get on my tits a bit and I've got issues with certain aspects of his parenting but, after all, he's still my Dad 😂 I'm often intrigued at how people can manipulate their own thought processes to suit their, immediate, decision making. Hoying my old man under the proverbial was a play on that 😉 Said, earlier, I haven't watched a cup final with him since 1974. After that he went off in the car for a country walk and I went upto the village for a kick about. Be canny NOT having the same outcome, tbf.

I won’t hold my breath though. Could be 50,000 people in for 800 tickets.

MagPar
I don't think I'd want to go as we'll need a miracle to win (I'd guess its about 75/25 in Liverpools favour). I've been to all 3 recent Scottish cup finals where Dunfermline were involved. Each time leaving totally dejected to yet another Celtic win. Their fans weren't even celebrating because they've become desensitised to picking up trophies. Note: I'm a total pessimist and always fear the worst for the 2 teams I care about so take no notice of my predictions and worries. I'm also a manic depressive so please don't lay into me. I'd cream my knickers if Newcastle won the cup, make no mistake about that.

The Conference League spot drops into the league if the League Cup winners qualify for CL/EL through league. Well that news sucks a big sweaty, genital wart ridde knobend. England at this point look like certs for 1 of the 2 extra Champions league places so we should make Europe next year in one of the tournaments. Think I'd prefer the Europa league as we'd have a better chance of progressing deep, but the Champions league would give us more money for GALACTICOS.
