Still don’t get why ST holders who’ve tossed off the cup and not been to a single game get priority over a member who has been to them all. The benefit of a ST holder, in my view, is a guaranteed home ticket only. I was one of the many season ticket (of 25 years) holders who chucked it in in the hope that everyone would do likewise to force a change. Not bitter at all. yeah there’s also an opposite argument to that of course.

Yeah, this is where I’m at tbh. it’s the Anti-Christ of what we need. I got a ticket (Pot 2) my daughter didn’t (Pot 6). I don’t buy the cup games for them because they’re normally midweek nights and clash with school etc but in future I will and potentially the seat will just be empty. I wouldn’t leave the seat empty mate, well unless you scan their ticket at the turnstile as, as I suspect going forward they’ll be looking at using the scan data to determine if people have actually turned up, and will probably use it against you if you haven’t. Anyway, always easy enough to find a buyer for any spares on here, and very straightforward to pass on unless they improve the tech around them. My mates a Forest fan and they have something called the 400 club, if you’ve been to 17 away games from the previous season you get in the club (don’t know what the benefits are). Anyways, they sent his Dad an email saying that he wasn’t eligible for the 400 club anymore as he had only attended 16 games…it was an error and was traced back to his ticket not being scanned at Bournemouth Away. Now I’ve written that I can’t remember what my point was, but aye, I usually do move my ticket on here if I can’t go…Ive seen a few at the turnstiles scanning people in

Can see from your posts how you get tickets on the general sale and always help lots of others out as well. I know it's no consolation, and we haven't interacted before, but not to sound weird I was thinking of you and rooting for you to get one. Not to make it any fan is better than an other like, but you 100% deserve a ticket to this final. Chin up mind, like you say you've got Germany and we'll be at Wembley again soon enough mate! Gracias amigo, that’s genuinely humbling I’d actually sacked off Wembley not long after the criteria were announced and made my other plans, so my ballot application was only in the hope I could pass the ticket on to a lifelong mate who’s desperate to go to the final So I’m relaxed about ticket defeat today But rest assured, if we’re at Wembley again this season and I don’t get a ticket there’ll be much devastation Edited Tuesday at 18:51 by bobbydazzla

It will be a poorer occasion without the fastest fingers in the north east in the ground. I didn't get a ticket, me brother (also a member) did. mattypnufc Posted Tuesday at 20:00 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:00 They absolutely didn’t like LFEE. me and my cousin applied for every game here. Went to every cup game. Lad we know applied for none of them but we got him a ticket on his membership for the Arsenal resale. And he won for the final. Super fair. 😂

Interpolic Posted Tuesday at 20:32 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:32 To give the club some credit, I was moaning the other day that they've backtracked on members getting tickets and that doesn't appear to be entirely the case. So fair play for letting a few members go. That comes with a huge minus though mind - look at how staggered the criteria is for STHs, different pots for different levels of commitment to the cup games giving different levels of priority. And look at pot 6. Members who may have been to every game this season through pure effort and much frustration thrown in with STHs who went to no cup games and any member who applied for a cup ticket. I said it was an insult then and I'm still saying it's an insult. When you spend so much time, effort and money, moving your life around just to get tickets for each game, and the result is zero recognition for it, you feel like a second class fan and it puts you off bothering to the same degree anymore tbh. Not that they'll mind.

Not that they'll mind. They knew exactly what they were doing. ‘Members got tickets so we’ve filled a quota’ kinda approach. They’ve clearly looked at the numbers and knew they could potentially allocate some out to members and ultimately pacify some discontent. However you are bang on. They insult is to lump everyone together when the rest has been thought out. Could easily have took it to 10 pots to reward those who’ve bothered. Cunt with the ST has only gone and said he wants to go to the final and taken the ticket. What a wanker. A related (albeit somewhat self-indulgent) story. If anyone can remember the Black n White magazine that came out in the mid-90’s, well they ran a fantasy football competition (the precursor to FPL for any youngsters) which 15 year old me won for season 96/97 (largely thanks to inspired late season subs of Pav, Robbie Elliot and Dean Sturridge if memory serves). Anyway the prize was two ST’s for the 97/98 season. As I didn’t have ST’s at the time and only really attended matches occasionally this was obviously a tremendous prize. Subsequently had to attend SJP with my dad for the photoshoot for the magazine and met the editor (I think), a guy called Mark Gillespie (obv not that one). Everything went great with the ST’s, apart from us being piss poor under Dalglish and Shearer being injured, but we bought CL tickets and obviously was at the Barca game. FA cup came round and we were able to buy our seats no probs. Reach the semi final against Sheff Utd at Old Trafford and we applied for tickets with a neighbour who also had a ST with his son. As I remember you had to apply for away tickets via a particular slip from a little booklet you got with your ST, and post them off, so we posted all for applications off together. Got word back that two had been successful and two hadn’t, but there seemed to be some confusion over which was which. Anyway, my neighbour said they were the successful ones, and they went, although it transpired that it should have been us as the money got taken from my dad. I think it was all probably a genuine mix-up and my dad probably didn’t want to have an argument about it, so just let them go. Obviously get to final and apply for tickets again (can’t remember if we did it with the neighbour again or not). After applying we get a phone call one day from this Mark Gillespie, saying sorry but the terms and conditions of winning the ST didn’t allow us to buy cup tickets. Obviously my dad was like, wtf are you talking about we’ve been buying them all season, but this twat clearly wanted them for himself, or someone he knew, and managed to pull enough strings to get them diverted to him. So I suppose the moral of the story is that cup final tickets will always bring out the worst in people.

Not that they'll mind. I agree with your point. Unfortunately due to the lack of authentication process for membership and minimal punishment if one caught being abused i think the clubs thinking was to treat ST Holders (who are also technically members don’t forget) the same as individual memberships on this occasion to avoid 1000’s of Cup Final tickets falling in the hands of un-genuine fans. Out of 853/100000 odds maybe no ST without Cup Scheme got any anyway but we’ll never know for sure. They need to look at the memberships from top to bottom going forward to factor in the effort the genuine make.
