Happy to see people who’ve been a fan since 2021 getting “lucky” with ballots.

And assuming this isn’t a dick joke - is why the Wembley atmosphere will most likely be shite.

Just so yous know, if we lose, we'll be the only team to have been runners up three or more times and never won the cup. Champeeonees either way.

We currently share the honour of 2 finals and 2 defeats with West Ham, Everton, Bolton, Southampton and the mackems.

a fan is a fan wether it’s from the 60s, 90s or 2021. He entered a ballot and won. I get that your point is the criteria for the pots is shite. This guy just got really lucky

The cynic in me says he is all over social media and a lovely new international fan; so has the club done him a sly favour?

The bloke said in an interview on BBC Newcastle that as soon as the takeover happened he was going to come to games.

All those super fans love plastering themselves all over social media, don’t they?

Will soften the blow of a defeat knowing this Jonny come lately doylem has spent a fortune to see a loss.

EDIT: I’m in no way against international fans, I welcome them and love people overseas having passion for the club, but this is different.

He must have done well in his life because he has enough money to come over fairly often.

I think it’s how he’s spending his retirement now.

theres plenty of people from Newcastle that supported the club and wouldn’t cross the road to see the games under Ashley nevermind half way across the world

Why's it "different"?

Should International fans be seen (begrudgingly) but not heard?

Fair play to him, imho, seems fully into it.

He has pictures of himself in a Newcastle United shirt when he was young.

He came across for the NUST AGM meeting a month or so ago.

He was in the Strawberry after the Forest. Seen him a few times in there. Must spend a fortune coming to see us. Don’t begrudge him at all.

Coincidentally, all of the social media personalities have managed a ticket. If I was a betting man, I'd wager all of the TF lot have been "lucky" too, despite some of them not having season tickets, etc.

Kinda what I’m getting at…I have nothing personal against this John chap, just find it strangely coincidental…

So he decided to start supporting Newcastle when we got taken over by a branch of the Saudi Arabian government and now gets tickets to Wembley?

Good thing he’s not a season ticket holder or I would be really mad.

Edit- apparently not. Apologies. Hope he enjoys his day

Exactly. Upwards of 16,000 in the queue when I was on early in the Pot 6 ballot yet conveniently all the usual social media suspects got one of the 800 tickets available.

Turned out be 1700 available, not that it particular alters your point.
