Even during the run to the final I was a bit down, knowing that I would never have a chance of final tickets. I mean, I know everything always goes to ST holders first so I didn't expect anything, but the reality was still a massive let down.

The annoying thing is (will try and keep it short!)

The old bloke (& friend) who sits beside me didn’t turn up first home cup game.

Next league game (he’s a ST holder) I quizzed him regarding his whereabouts and was only then he said he hadn’t bothered this year with cup scheme (despite being in it previous year and also at Wembley the year before)

Told him off basically saying I would’ve found someone for his ticket if he couldn’t make it and as we’ve advanced he’s realised what a massive cock up he made.

Annoying as it’s the likes of you both and others I would’ve gladly offered a final ticket too. Maybe would’ve had to hold my own ballot  but still… I do have sympathy for the genuine members with this years criteria.

I've actually given up on trying to go to the final.

I'm not willing to pay daft money for a secondary ticket even though I've been offered some. All the associated risks that come with that just aren't worth it.

I've put word out to any friends or corporate contacts who might be able to source spares, but that's such a long shot that I can't see anything coming of it

Feels canny grim knowing that despite buying tickets for all home league and cup games I'll miss the final. But that's the way they want it to be, it's clear that being a member and going to games actually means fuck all.

Have made other plans for the 16th March now. Simply can't be chewed with scrapping around trying to get to Wembley, I've devoted more than enough time scrapping around for member tickets every few weeks.

Fuck it.

I would be so gutted to miss us seeing win our first trophy in a generation, I think it'd really affect me. There's not really anything I've dreamed more of for the last 30 years. All the games, the lost finals etc. I'm stopping going to home games now and potentially going to move back in with my mam for a bit if that's what it takes to get to the final  If I missed us losing in the final, I'd get over that like.

I suppose being very lucky having a season ticket so young, going to the final defeats, away games as a kid and that, I never imagined possibly not being there if and when it eventually happened, and always thought through the shit away days etc they'd just make it all the sweeter when I finally see a cup lifted.

I'm seriously considering biting the bullet and going for hospitality should the inevitable happen and pot 6 doesn't go ahead/pot 6 is a ballot failure.

Without wanting to rain on your parade, last I heard there was basically no hospitality left.

I was toying with this last time, I only got a ticket the day before the final and the group of lads I usually go with were already down London. I’ve had not such hassle this time (my turn on st) but I’ll not be as fortunate if we make it to fa cup final, which presumably would offer us a better chance of winning should we get that far. I’d still obviously rather we won when i wasn’t there but it would be gutting to miss the ‘first’ one.

There’s no inner circle tickets (cheapest 3 x season deal) left to ‘subscribe’ too if that’s what you were thinking. Enquired last week.

Was thinking of going through one of these rather than Club Wembley specifically, allegedly still some availability left in the Taphouse section:

As a member, there are definitely cup games I'd have considered giving a miss if I realised I'd be thrown in the no-chance pot with people who've applied for one ballot. Wimbledon, Bromley etc.

Wonder if this will have an effect on attendances going forward, although it seems the vast majority of STHs will be on the cup scheme and a lot of people take their kids to cup games, so perhaps not.

I think there is still so much demand for tickets these days they will still sell out.

I got the last pair of inner circle tickets. Reserved them the day before the second leg and paid up as soon as I got out of SJP.

£1700 for the remainder of this season per ticket. Can resell any games I don’t make on their portal, so should be able to get a large amount of that back, but also covered if we get to the FA Cup semi and final.

Through the official route of Club Wembley they said there's no Inner Circle left (that's the cheapest option, circa £7k commitment!), Bobby Moore option is the cheapest now, no idea what that costs as have no interest in paying it!

Touts of course do have Club Wembley if people are willing to pay the price, think it's circa 2k now.

£3500 for seat unique in the tap house. Unbelievable.

I paid £750 for the 2023 final and thought that was extortionate.

Yeah, I was dabbling with the idea of paying a fair bit based on last time, but I was blown away by how much more it is this time.

I think I could've attended the 2023 final for under £500 at one point.

Yeh, but Wembley have a number of "offical" partners that sell off the Club seats for one off games, and a cost of around 2.5k

There's still availabililty if you are that keen
