Problem is that when you double or triple up on Salah you leave literally the world's best crosser of a ball with loads of space behind him.

Might as well chuck Targett in as well just to be extra secure.

A big difference this time is Tonali, Isak, Gordon, Hall, a decent goalkeeper. If we keep our important players fit we're a much better outfit than 2023. Just hope our players get stuck in and don't allow nerves to creep in. On our day we can beat Liverpool.

I always think the timing of games is so important 

 

so much can change between now and 16 March for both teams 

 

just have to hope we don't pick up any injuries or suspensions and keep the form relatively steady 

 

it was really bad timing for us last time against MU with Pope being suspended while they were on a high after knocking Barca out of the EL a few days prior.

 

they also had Rashford, Cas, Shaw and Martinez in peak form and we had just lost to Liverpool (only team to beat us up to that point), goals dried up without Bruno for 3 games etc 

 

they'll be fully expecting to win unlike us, but we can beat them with a bit of luck

Know it's not a given, but seeing how the both the semi legs went, anything but a Liverpool win will inevitably portrayed as them failing, not us actually beating them

My bipolar obsession with NUFC - win ecstatic, lose mope like a cowed dog - will finally be expunged if we were to win this. I am sure there are many other fans who suffer in the same way. This is an opportunity to remove the albatross from our necks, the monkey from our backs and the mote from our eyes (I know).  IMHO - A victory here WILL set NUFC as a force for years and it will give all of us the freedom to support without the crushing anxiety - something serial winners do not understand. HWTL.

I'm not going to lie, I think the "we'll want it more" narrative it's a bit of a fallacy, it's a cup final at the end of the day, and any player, manager, staff member or fan is going to be all in on the day to win it.
